Full-time: Bayern 3-0 Leverkusen

This game was wrapped up at half-time, with the second half just being a formality in the end. Bayern continue their sensational winning run, but for Leverkusen, their incredible unbeaten away run of 37 Bundesliga games is finally at an end.

Kofane shoots

A long ball finds Hofmann, who cushions the ball down for Kofane, but his effort is blocked behind for a corner.
83'

Close

Pavlović gets to the byline and pulls the ball back for Kane, but a Leverkusen player is there to get the block in.
82'

Bischof has a go

The Bayern midfielder lets fly from range, but can't hit the target.
81'

Good football

Olise cuts inside before rolling the ball into the path of Boey, but his shot is blocked.
81'

Kofane tests Neuer

Kofane gets in down the right and forces Neuer to beat the ball away with a powerful shot.
79'

A couple more Bayern changes

Bayern have now made all of their changes with Boey and Pavlović entering play in the last few minutes.
74'

Big chance

Terrier feeds Kofane in the box, but his first touch is too heavy, and as a result, his shot is from a tough angle and it goes wide. That really could have been a way back for Leverkusen.
camera-photo

Gnabry gets the party started

It was another good performance from Gnabry tonight as he added to his goal tally with the opener. Bayern haven't looked back since.
70'

Almost

Bayern counter effectively through Díaz, but the Colombian's cross is intercepted by Flekken just before it reaches Olise.

The best triple change in world football?

Kompany flexes his attacking muscles by bringing on the trio of Olise, Kane and Díaz. Not a bad set of subs, that.
58'

Just wide

Lovely football from Bayern sees Raphaël Guerreiro curl an effort just wide from the centre of the penalty area. Very close to the fourth again.
56'

Triple change

Hjulmand rotates his front line further with Kofane, Terrier and Hofmann all entering play.

A fan is currently receiving medical attention in the stands. We hope the affected person can receive the necessary medical attention as soon as possible.

It should be 4-0!

Jackson and Laimer almost recreate the night's second goal as Laimer once again whips in a superb cross for Jackson, but this time Bayern's striker can only head wide from close range.

Back underway

The ball is moving for the second half. One change from Leverkusen at the break as Maza replaces García.

Watch: Bayern's delightful double

The hosts charged into a two-goal lead thanks to two goals in six minutes midway through the half.
camera-photo

Half-time: Bayern 3-0 Leverkusen

Leverkusen started the game well and looked a threat on the counter, but since the opener, a mixture of Leverkusen mistakes and good Bayern football has the hosts out of sight. Gnabry opened the scoring after 25 minutes before Jackson doubled the scoring six minutes later. Then, just before the break, a Badé own goal only further piled on the misery. It seems Leverkusen's incredible unbeaten away run is coming to an end as Bayern continue to run away at the top of the table.

3-0! Bayern cruising

Poor from Leverkusen, and now Bayern are out of sight. Badé loses possession, allowing Jackson and Guerreiro to combine down the left before the latter sends in a low cross that Badé gets completely wrong and fires into his own net.

Close from Karl

The youngster dips inside again and shoots, only missing the back of the net by a few centimetres.

Jackson thinks he has added a third

But he is offside. The Senegalese striker had the freedom of the pitch to run at Flekken before slotting home, but the flag was correctly raised to disallow the goal.
39'

Sloppy

Kim tries to play the ball back to Neuer whilst under pressure, but mishits his pass and sends the ball out for a corner. The resulting set-piece comes to nothing.
36'

Bischof has a go

The former Hoffenheim man tries his luck, but the effort drifts wide of the far post.

Better from Leverkusen

Poku beats his man on the right and sends in a low cross towards Schick, but the Czech international can't flick the ball goalwards.

Jackson makes it 2-0!

Laimer picks up the ball on the right and whips in a perfect cross that finds Jackson in the centre. The Chelsea loanee gets up well and heads home his first Bundesliga goal. It's a long way back for Leverkusen now.

Bayern lead!

And that's what Bayern can do! Bischof whips a nice pass down the line towards Gnabry as Bayern counter. Quansah should get there first, but he misreads the danger, allowing Gnabry to get on the end of the pass before slotting through the legs of Flekken.

Echeverri providing an outlet

The loanee has had a couple of chances to break already, but he hasn't made it count so far.
21'

Laimer lets fly

The corner eventually ends up at the feet of Laimer. He has a go from some way outside the box, but his swerving effort is plucked out of the sky by Flekken.
21'

Another Bayern corner

Bischof shoots with his left, but the effort is charged down for a Bayern corner. Their fourth of the match already.
18'

Best chance of the match

Karl stands up a cross to the back post where Goretzka is charging in at pace, but the Germany international can only flick his header narrowly wide.
16'

Leverkusen's counter threat

As much as Bayern have had the most of the ball and look threatening, Leverkusen look a real danger on the break. Twice now they have had three against two situations, but on this latest occasion, Tah is able to bring Echeverri to a halt successfully.
15'

Good football

Bayern break through Karl. He feeds Laimer on the right before the Austrian slides a nice pass into Guerreiro in the centre of the penalty area. The Portuguese pops the ball back off into the path of Karl, but the teenager's shot curls just wide of the post.

He hasn't been in the game long, but Karl's talent is quickly becoming clear for all to see.

Karl lets fly

The teenager tries to recreate what is quickly becoming a trademark finish by dipping inside and letting fly, although the effort is simple for Flekken on this occasion.
7'

Tapsoba has a go

Tapsoba becomes the first player to have a shot at goal as he steals the ball off Karl in midfield and tries his luck from range, but the effort is poor and bobbles wide.

The scene is set

The Allianz Arena is looking splendid for this clash.

If anyone can, it's Leverkusen

The Werkself are unbeaten in their past 37 Bundesliga away matches, a record in German top flight. As the players make their way onto the pitch, that record will give them confidence that they can stop Bayern's winning streak here.
camera-photo

Big chance for Jackson

With Kane named on the bench, the Senegal international will lead the line here. He is still waiting for his first Bundesliga goal - can he get off the mark tonight?
camera-photo

Big test for Hjulmand

The Leverkusen head coach is facing Bayern for the first time since his arrival in September - this will be a true test of his and his team's credentials.

More on those teams

Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz drop to the bench as Nicolas Jackson, teenager Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof come in. Defender Minjae Kim, left-back Raphaël Guerreiro and midfielder Leon Goretzka also start for the league leaders. As for Leverkusen, there's a surprise as talisman Alejandro Grimaldo drops to the bench. Eliesse Ben Seghir and Jonas Hofmann also make way following the extra-time cup win over Paderborn in midweek. Jarell Quansah, Claudio Echeverri and Ernest Poku are rotated in.

Awesome Olise

Standing out in a Bayern attack line that contains so much talent is not easy, yet Michael Olise has been doing that week in, week out for the record champions since moving to Bavaria in July 2024. Last season's Bundesliga assist king has picked up where he left off in 2024/25, scoring four goals and laying on three assists already this term.
camera-photo

Schick back

Czech striker Patrik Schick is in line for his first Bundesliga start since recovering from a hamstring injury. The formidable forward played the first half of Leverkusen's dramatic midweek DFB Cup win against Paderborn and his full availability presents Saturday's visitors to the Allianz Arena with an important extra option up top.
camera-photo

Tah's big day

The Germany defender will certainly be feeling all the feels as he lines out against his former side for the first time with Bayern. A Bundesliga and DFB Cup double winner with Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso in 2023/24, Tah made over 400 appearances for the Werkself between 2015 and 2025. “I’ve obviously still got a lot of links to the club," the 29-year-old said this week.
camera-photo

Lively Lucho

Posting nine goal involvements in your first eight Bundesliga games is insane, but Luis Díaz has done just that and although the encounters are now coming thick and fast for the Colombian, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany is confident the Colombian can cope. "We have a slight advantage in that he's used to this high intensity," Kompany said. "He's done this many times in his career, playing three matches in quick succession."
camera-photo

Tillman touch and go

Former Bayern youth teamer and USMNT international Malik Tillman would, no doubt, love to be involved in this game but the 23-year-old is currently working hard on his comeback from a thigh complaint and remains a doubt. "He's training with us today and then we'll see," Leverkusen coach Kasper Hjulmand said in response to Tillman's availability for the Bayern clash.
camera-photo

Kompany on Grimaldo

Alejandro Grimaldo has scored four direct free-kicks for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season, so Kompany is wary: "I hope we won't concede any dangerous free-kicks or commit stupid fouls, and that the goalkeeper will help us out in this situation. I hope he doesn't have an unbelievable free-kick day."
camera-photo

Kasper Hjulmand on facing Bayern

"They are currently the best team in Germany and one of the best in Europe. They have started really strongly in all competitions and have a lot of quality, but no team is unbeatable. I firmly believe it's possible for us to come away with a result. That's why we're going there with courage and confidence."
camera-photo

Vincent Kompany on facing Leverkusen

"Leverkusen have hit top form under their new coach. They're still a dangerous team who have picked up good results in the Bundesliga. This is still a top game, and we've got the rivalry of the past few years that our players haven't forgotten about."

Bayer's cup rollercoaster

While Bayern were breaking records, Leverkusen were being pushed to the very limit in the DFB Cup against Paderborn in midweek. The Bundesliga 2 side led twice in the teams' second-round tie but Kasper Hjulmand's men eventually edged through after extra time.

Record breakers!

Morale at Bayern is at an all-time high after the Bavarian giants set a new European record for wins at the start of a season. Their 4-1 DFB Cup second-round victory against Cologne saw the Bundesliga leaders make it 14 wins in a row, surpassing AC Milan's run set back in 1992/93.

From top player to top coach, Vincent Kompany has proved the doubters wrong and his Bayern side are thrilling the football world. A champion in his first season and now a record start to the new campaign, which has even seen him surpass Pep Guardiola.
