New rules in Bundesliga Fantasy Manager for 2024/25
While the aim of assembling a star-studded squad remains unchanged, Fantasy managers will want to take note of some fun new rules for the new season. bundesliga.com runs through the biggest changes...
Team limits
Fantasy managers will start with a cool 150 million Bundesliga dollars again with which to choose the best possible squad of 15 players, with the familiar numbers of each position required (two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and three attackers).
One twist is the new team limit, which will restrict managers to a maximum of three players from the same Bundesliga club. That might make selection slightly more difficult, but will reward those managers able to pick talents out from the league's lesser lights and stop the tendency for managers to pack teams with players from a handful of the most successful clubs.

Points aplenty
We hope you will be happy with your points' tally in the first matchday, and if it does exceed all expectations, it is most likely due to the brand-new points system introduced in 2024/25.
Whereas a goal from Harry Kane (20M), Serhou Guirassy (19M) or any other Bundesliga forward gave you four points last season, this time your team will earn a whopping 80 per goal. Make that 100 if a midfielder scores, 120 for a defender and a stonking 200 points in the unlikely event your goalkeeper puts the ball in the opposing net.
While points have been ramped up across the board for the likes of assists (40 to 150 depending on position), penalty saves (120) plus brace (20) and hat-trick (60) bonuses, there are also new ways to earn points this season.
For the first time in the new season, every successful dribble will earn you points, five to be exact, giving you extra reason to enjoy the Bundesliga's top tricksters like Florian Wirtz (20M), Jamal Musiala (20M) and Chris Führich (14M) - should you have them in your side.
As football is not all about goals and silky skills, every challenge won - either in the air or on the ground - will also net you five points, perhaps providing an incentive to pick midfield enforcers like Robert Andrich (12M) or steely defenders like Bernardo (11M), who won more challenges than any other Bundesliga player last season for Bochum.
Each successful cross will now give your side seven points - RB Leipzig's David Raum (15M) hit the most in the last campaign. Every succcesful pass into the middle third and final third will get you one point apiece.

There is a flipside to the points inflation though - should any of your players get a yellow card (-20), cause a penalty (-40), miss a spot kick (-60), get a second yellow card (-60) or score an own goal (-80), they will go deep into the red. A player seeing a straight red card will have a huge 100 points taken from their tally, while every foul will now see five points deducted.
Latecomers even more welcome
You could always enter a Fantasy Bundesliga team at any stage of the season, but another innovation means that if you aren't able to register before the start of the 2024/25 campaign, your chances of winning a league are not in any way affected!
That's because from the second matchday on, a new league will be set up every matchday specifically for those newly registering.
So, fear not if you somehow miss the deadline on 23 August - when champions Leverkusen get the new season underway at Borussia Mönchengladbach - Fantasy manager is waiting for you, and it'll be more fun than ever!
