Key stats

Although born in New York, Prescott initially developed in the youth ranks of Union Berlin before making the switch to Bayern in 2023.

Since being spotted training at Bayern's Säbener Straße headquarters in May 2025, aged just 15, he has gone on to make 12 appearances for the U19s and four for the club's UEFA Youth League team.

With Neuer sidelined, the American was even called up to the senior squad for the UEFA Champions League last 16 first leg at Atalanta in March 2026.

Prescott made his Germany U17 debut in September 2025, but is still should eligible to represent the USA, with his father also hailing from New York.

Plays a bit like: Gregor Kobel

While comparisons to Neuer have been impossible to avoid, having already grown to a huge 6'5'' frame, Prescott's size is closer to dependable Borussia Dortmund counterpart Gregor Kobel. He also has a reputation for being supremely composed and an excellent distributer of the ball.

Did you know?

Prescott may not yet have kept goal at the Allianz Arena, but he has contributed to Bayern's recent success in his own way, working there as a ball boy. He has been positioned behind Neuer's goal, seemingly to help give him more insight into the club idol's play.

What they're saying

"He's technically outstanding - you feel like he could play outfield. He's very courageous in his actions and definitely very advanced for his age." Bayern U19 coach Peter Gaydarov
