Bayern Munich plotting route to treble glory with DFB Cup and UEFA Champions League crowns in their sights
Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich stars already have the Bundesliga title in the bag but could cap an incredible season by lifting both the DFB Cup and the UEFA Champions League by the end of May. We take a look at their route to a potentially glorious treble...
Wednesday 22 April (8.45pm CEST), DFB Cup semi-final vs. Bayer Leverkusen (a)
Bayern have had little time to dust themselves off after sealing their 35th German title (and 34th Bundesliga crown) on Saturday, as a tough midweek cup semi-final is up next.
The competition is Leverkusen's only chance of silverware this term, but with the Bavarians not lifting the DFB Cup since 2019/20, they will give their all to make next month's showdown in Berlin.

Saturday 25 April (3.30pm CEST), Bundesliga Matchday 31 vs. Mainz (a)
With the title already decided, Bayern might appear to have the pressure off their shoulders for the trip to Mainz. They will want to keep their rhythm and intensity for their Champions League semi-final though, while also settling the score against a side who held them to a 2-2 draw in Munich earlier in the season. With Mainz capable of ensuring their safety with a win, Bayern can certainly take nothing for granted.

Tuesday 28 April (9pm CEST), UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg vs. Paris Saint-Germain (a)
Bayern's third away trip in a row will take them to the reigning Champions League holders in a huge showdown, with Kompany labelling the tie "probably our toughest challenge".
After their superb quarter-final success against Real Madrid, Bayern will be confident of rising to that challenge though against the side who knocked them out of last summer's FIFA Club World Cup.

Saturday 2 May (3.30pm CEST), Bundesliga Matchday 32 vs. Heidenheim (h)
Bayern return to Munich for their first home game since sealing the title and will face Heidenheim, who have spent the season locked in a relegation battle.
It remains to be seen how Kompany approaches his team selection between the two key Champions League encounters, but he may be inclined to give squad players and youngsters some minutes while using key players like Harry Kane more sparingly.
Wednesday 6 May (9pm CEST), UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg vs. Paris Saint-Germain (h)
As was the case in the quarter-final against Real Madrid, Bayern have a chance to seal their progression with a home second leg - and with it a spot in their first Champions League final since 2020.
Saturday, 9 May (6.30pm CEST), Bundesliga Matchday 33 vs. Wolfsburg (a)
Bayern's penultimate match of the Bundesliga season takes them away to Wolfsburg, who were once great rivals of Bayern but this season have been battling relegation danger.
Saturday, 16 May (3.30pm CEST), Bundesliga Matchday 34 vs. Cologne (h)
A sensational Bundesliga season concludes in front of the Allianz Arena faithful, with Bayern's attacking stars having one last chance to add to what is already a record goals' tally for a Bundesliga season.

Saturday, 23 May, potential DFB Cup final in Berlin (8pm CEST)
Should Bayern see off Leverkusen in the last four, they would face either reigning holders VfB Stuttgart or a Freiburg team eager to claim the club's first silverware in a big showdown in Berlin.
Saturday, 30 May, potential UEFA Champions League final in Budapest (6pm CEST)
If Bayern can beat PSG, Arsenal or Atlético Madrid would be their opponents for what might be the final piece in the treble jigsaw. They will take it one match at a time for now, but Kompany has admitted "there are still things to be won," and the tantalising prospect of history in Hungary is definitely on the horizon...
