Robert Lewandowski scored a record 41 single-season goals as Bayern Munich clinched a ninth consecutive Bundesliga title - and 30th overall - in 2020/21.

Matchday 1: Bayern 8-0 Schalke

Serge Gnabry hit a hat-trick with Lewandowski, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Müller, Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala also on target as Bayern got off to a flyer with an 8-0 win in the Bundesliga season-opener against Schalke.

Matchday 2: Hoffenheim 4-1 Bayern

Hoffenheim ended Bayern's 23-game winning streak in all competitions with Andrej Kramaric scoring his fourth and fifth goals of the season.

Matchday 3: Bayern 4-3 Hertha Berlin

Matchday 6: Cologne 1-2 Bayern

Gnabry and Müller stepped up to the plate in the absence of Lewandowski as Bayern moved a temporary first in the Bundesliga standings with victory in Cologne.

Matchday 7: Borussia Dortmund 2-3 Bayern

Bayern clambered back to the top of the Bundesliga with a 3-2 win over Dortmund, with goals from David Alaba, Lewandowski and Sane earning them the honours in the first Klassiker of the season.

Matchday 8: Bayern 1-1 Werder Bremen

Josh Sargent played his part as Werder Bremen held Bayern to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena, with Kingsley Coman sparing the defending champions' blushes.

Matchday 9: VfB Stuttgart 1-3 Bayern

Bayern returned to winning ways as Lewandowski scored his 12th Bundesliga goal of the season in an absorbing 3-1 victory away to VfB Stuttgart.

Matchday 10: Bayern 3-3 RB Leipzig

Müller grabbed a brace and Coman had a hat-trick of assists but leaders Bayern were unable to get the better of title rivals Leipzig in a superb contest at the Allianz Arena.

Matchday 11: Union Berlin 1-1 Bayern

Lewandowski salvaged Bayern a point from their trip to Union Berlin after Grischa Prömel's early header almost earned Urs Fischer's men a win their performance would arguably have merited.

Matchday 12: Bayern 2-1 Wolfsburg

Lewandowski became the third player in Bundesliga history to score 250 goals as Bayern ended Wolfsburg's unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season in a come-from-behind win at the Allianz Arena.

Matchday 13: Bayer Leverkusen 1-3 Bayern

Lewandowski scored twice, including with the last kick of the game, as Bayern came from behind to claim top spot from Leverkusen.

Matchday 14: Bayern 5-2 Mainz

Bayern came from two goals behind to beat Mainz 5-2, with a brace from Lewandowski and further goals from Joshua Kimmich, Sane and Niklas Süle taking the record champions back to the top of the Bundesliga after Jonathan Burkardt and Alexander Hack had given them a scare.

Matchday 15: Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2 Bayern

Florian Neuhaus gave away a penalty and then scored the winner, while Jonas Hofmann and Lars Stindl also starred, as Gladbach came from 2-0 down to beat Bayern 3-2 in a thriller at Borussia-Park.

Matchday 16: Bayern 2-1 Freiburg

Bayern extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to four points after edging past Freiburg, courtesy of goals from Lewandowski and Müller.

Matchday 17: Augsburg 0-1 Bayern

Lewandowski scored a penalty, and Alfred Finnbogason missed one, as Bundesliga leaders Bayern laboured to a 1-0 win in Augsburg.

Matchday 18: Schalke 0-4 Bayern

Lewandowski, Müller and Alaba scored the goals as Bayern moved seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a 4-0 win at bottom club Schalke.

Matchday 19: Bayern 4-1 Hoffenheim

Bayern cemented their place atop the Bundesliga standings, with Lewandowski and Müller among the goals once more in an emphatic 4-1 win over Hoffenheim.

Matchday 20: Hertha Berlin 0-1 Bayern

Coman scored the only goal of the game as Bayern edged a tight encounter with Hertha to move 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

Matchday 21: Bayern 3-3 Arminia Bielefeld

Alphonso Davies came to Bayern's rescue, scoring the equaliser as the Bundesliga leaders fought back from two goals down to salvage a 3-3 draw at home to a plucky Bielefeld side.

Matchday 22: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Bayern

Amin Younes starred as in-form Frankfurt breathed new life into the title race with a hard-fought win over Bundesliga leaders Bayern.

Matchday 23: Bayern 5-1 Cologne

Lewandowski scored his 27th and 28th Bundesliga goals of the season as Bayern consolidated top spot with a resounding 5-1 win at home to lowly Cologne.

Matchday 24: Bayern 4-2 Borussia Dortmund

Lewandowski scored a hat-trick to cancel out an early Erling Haaland brace as Bayern fought back from 2-0 down to beat Dortmund 4-2 in Der Klassiker.

Matchday 25: Bremen 1-3 Bayern

Lewandowski moved level second with Klaus Fischer in the Bundesliga's all-time scoring charts as Bayern consolidated their place at the top of the standings with a comfortable win at Bremen.

Matchday 26: Bayern 4-0 VfB Stuttgart

Lewandowski scored a first-half hat-trick as Bayern recovered from Davies's 12th-minute red card to thump Stuttgart 4-0.

Matchday 27: Leipzig 0-1 Bayern

Goretzka scored the decisive goal as Bayern opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga with victory over closest pursuers Leipzig.

Matchday 28: Bayern 1-1 Union Berlin

Musiala was on target for a much-changed and injury-hit Bayern side, but a late goal from Marcus Ingvartsen earned Union a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Bayern missed the chance to seal a ninth successive Bundesliga title, after falling to a shock 2-1 defeat in Mainz.

Matchday 32: Bayern 6-0 Gladbach

Leipzig's defeat to Dortmund earlier in the day confirmed Bayern as champions, and they celebrated in fine style with a crushing win at home to the Foals.

Matchday 33: Freiburg 2-2 Bayern

Lewandowski became the first player in almost 50 years to score 40 Bundesliga goals in a single season as Bayern in an entertaining draw with Freiburg.
