In more positive news for the visitors, captain Emre Can has made the trip to Augsburg. The 31-year-old has been sidelined for nearly five months with a troublesome groin problem and was only expected to return after the international break in November, but could make an appearance at the WWK Arena tonight.

Schlotterbeck rested

Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck will miss tonight's trip to Augsburg, according to regional paper Ruhr Nachrichten. The 25-year-old, who is reportedly suffering from a cold, is being rested by head coach Niko Kovač after playing every minute of Borussia's last five Bundesliga games, not to mention 120 minutes in the DFB Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
