Dortmund have confirmed that Julien Duranville has joined Basel on loan until the end of the season. The Belgian, who has suffered with injury this season, has not made an appearance for the Black-Yellows in 2025/26.

Dortmund going strong in the Bundesliga

Despite losing to Tottenham, BVB are still performing well in the Bundesliga. They are unbeaten in 11 games, while their defeat to Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker remains their only league defeat of the campaign. Nevertheless, the 11-point gap to leaders Bayern is surely too much to bridge.

Trimmel extends contract

During the celebrations, Union captain Christopher Trimmel extended his contract with the club. He will remain at the club next season, which will be his 13th since joining from Rapid Vienna.

Union celebrate 60th anniversary

On Tuesday, Union celebrated 60 years since the club's foundation at the Stadion an der Alten Försterei. Fans gathered at the stadium both inside and out, while a host of club legends were present.

Union proving tough to beat

The Iron Ones are without defeat in their last five matches, winning two and drawing three. They have showed fighting spirit, too, scoring equalisers in the final 10 minutes in each of their past three matches.

Dortmund slip up against Tottenham

After their late win against St.Pauli, Dortmund were brought back down to earth on Tuesday as they were undone 2-0 in London. Daniel Svensson also received a straight red card. The result sees Dortmund drop to 12th in the League Phase standings.
