Vasilj sticks out his hand and makes a brilliant save but the rebound falls to Waldschmidt, who fails to score from close range as his shot deflects off a defender's leg and then the post! Pauli up for the cup

Pauli picked up a morale-boosting 2-1 victory in Mönchengladbach in the DFB Cup last 16 on Tuesday. It was the Hamburg-based club's first competitive win since they knocked out Hoffenheim on penalties in the previous round on 28 October. Martijn Kaars and Louis Oppie scored the goals for the Kiezkicker.
