Costly defeat
Christian Titz won 2-1 with Magdeburg in Münster last season, but suffered a heavy 5-0 home defeat against Preußen on Matchday 32 which caused Titz's side to slip out of the top three.

Hannover have kept a clean sheet in their last four away matches at the Preußenstadion. The last home goal for Münster against 96 was scored by Rainer Leifken in October 1980, in a 1-1 draw (Bundesliga 2).

Münster did manage to take points off 96 twice last season (0-0, 2-2), but their last victory against Hannover was some 46 years ago. In April 1979, the Eagles celebrated a 2-1 home win in Bundesliga 2.
