From goalscorer to boss
In the last encounter in Münster in November 2019 (1-1 in the 3rd division), Benjamin Kessel (now sporting director at Eintracht Braunschweig) scored for them. Münster's last home victory against Eintracht was in November 2018 (3-0, hat-trick by Martin Kobylanski). Braunschweig's last away win at the Preußenstadion was over 20 years ago (5-0 in August 2004 in the regional league).

In their previous Bundesliga 2 encounters, Braunschweig have won four (most recently in August 1990 with a 5-0 home win under manager Joachim Streich).
