With the Bundesliga currently awash with record-breaking runs, milestones and stratospheric feats, it's little wonder the division tops the list in several statistical categories and stands tall among the elite of European competition.

And what better place to begin on that journey than with the amount of goals scored in the opening 10 games of the 2025/26 season: 289. That spellbinding number sees the Bundesliga boast an average of 3.1 goals per encounter in the campaign to date.

No other division in Europe's top five leagues can match that number, meaning it's easy to see why Germany's top flight retains the crown as the most entertaining elite league out there.

But where else have the stats been so special that they are worthy of Europe-wide praise? Let's take a closer look at some delicious digits that require closer attention to detail.

Watch: Every goal from Matchday 10!

• Following the current goalscoring thread, the Bundesliga would produce 983 goals come the end of the campaign.

• This means that the 1,000-goal mark, not reached since 1985, is now a distinct possibility.

• Only once this millennium has the goal average been higher than the current one: namely in 2023/24, when it stood at 3.22 goals per game after 10 matches.

• For the eighth year in a row, the average number of goals in the Bundesliga is over 3 goals per game.

• This season, the Bundesliga is the only top European league to see more than three goals per match.

Shot-happy

• An average of 26.4 shots on goal have been taken per match. This is currently the highest figure in Europe's top divisions. England's Premier League, for example, has seen almost 3 fewer shots on goal per game.

• Of the 90 Bundesliga games to date, only four ended goalless – compared, for example, with 17 in Italy's Serie A.

• The highest-scoring match took place on Matchday 5 between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt (4-6).

Fan-tastic

• Approximately 3.7 million spectators flocked to Bundesliga stadiums during the first 10 matchdays.

• The average attendance of 41,815 is the second-highest among top leagues, almost on par with the Premier League.

• La Liga and Serie A each drew roughly 10,000 fewer spectators per game.

Young hearts

• In the first 10 matchdays of the season, 12 different teenagers have already scored – more than ever before in Bundesliga history at this stage.

RB Leipzig have fielded nine different U21 players this season, which is second only to RC Strasbourg of Ligue 1.

Eintracht Frankfurt's Can Uzun scored once in each of the first five matchdays of the season, becoming the first teenager in Bundesliga history to complete such a feat at the start of the season.

Super Bayern

Bayern Munich boast the biggest lead in the top European leagues with a six-point cushion.

• The Bavarian giants are also the only team among the big five divisions to have scored an average of more than three goals per game. Barcelona trail in second place.

Der Rekordmeister's 35 goals after 10 matchdays is the third-best goal tally for a Bundesliga team in the league's history.

• As many as 11 different players have already found the net for Bayern this season.

Harry Kane & Co.

Harry Kane has seamlessly continued his impressive form from his first two Bundesliga seasons in 2025/26. The Englishman has scored 13 goals in his 10 Bundesliga matches. Only Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid have also scored more goals than appearances.

• Kane's latest goal, an equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Union Berlin, was his 75th in the Bundesliga. The Englishman needed only 73 Bundesliga games to reach this milestone – fewer than any player before him.

• Last season, Michael Olise had the second-highest goal involvements after Kane. The Frenchman was also the top assist provider in the Bundesliga with 15. The 23-year-old is once again shining in the 2025/26 season with 4 goals and 3 assists.

• Olise has seen his transfer value double since joining Bayern from Crystal Palace in July 2024. Among the right-sided players across Europe's big-five leagues, only Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and Désiré Doué of Paris Saint-Germain are currently considered more valuable in transfer terms.

Watch: Bayern's terrific trio

• Kane, Olise and Luís Diaz are a world-class attacking trio. At least one was involved in 27 of the German champions' 35 goals this season (77 per cent), either as a goalscorer or an assist provider.

Worthy of praise

Bayer Leverkusen's Alejandro Grimaldo, with his seven goal involvements, boasts some of the best averages among left-backs in Europe's top leagues.

• The 30-year-old Spaniard has scored twice from direct free kicks and has won an impressive 57 percent of his duels in the first 10 Bundesliga matchdays.

Joshua Kimmich is among the top three defensive-midfielders in the division. The nine-time Bundesliga champion is among the most tireless players in the league, covering an average of 12.7 kilometres per game.

• Playing in the same position as one of the world's best, Eintracht's Rasmus Kristensen currently has a higher CIES rating (84.7, and second on the list) than UEFA Champions League winner, Achraf Hakimi (84.0).
