Bayern Munich's Harry Kane to receive second European Golden Shoe
Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane will be presented with the European Golden Shoe award on the 19 August after finishing as the continent's most prolific league goalscorer in 2025/26.
The Bayern striker will receive the prestigious award at the Bayern Museum in Munich on the 19 August. The Golden Shoe, awarded by European Sports Media (ESM), recognises the leading goalscorer across Europe’s domestic leagues. The Bundesliga, Bayern Munich and kicker are jointly hosting the presentation ceremony.
Harry Kane scored 36 goals in the Bundesliga during the 2025/26 season, earning 72 points in the Golden Shoe standings and finishing comfortably ahead of Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid). It is the England international’s second Golden Shoe, following his triumph in the 2023/24 season.

Marc Lenz, managing director of the Bundesliga, stated, “Harry Kane has been shaping the Bundesliga and international football for years with performances at an outstanding level. With 36 goals in the Bundesliga last season, he once again demonstrated his exceptional quality and goalscoring instinct. Winning the Golden Shoe for a second time is an extraordinary achievement and underlines his consistency at world-class level.
“Together with Bayern Munich, kicker and European Sports Media, we are delighted to celebrate this special award with football fans around the world.”
Two other Bundesliga players also finished among Europe’s leading scorers in 2025/26. VfB Stuttgart's Deniz Undav came ninth, while Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy finished 13th in the final standings.
Kane’s success means the Bundesliga once again boasts Europe’s most prolific league goalscorer. Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski had previously won the Golden Shoe while playing in Germany’s top flight.
The award ceremony this year will be streamed live on the 19 August across the Bundesliga’s official channels, including the official Bundesliga app and Bundesliga’s YouTube channel. The event will be available in both German and English.
