Pittsburgh Steelers star Miles Killebrew watches Borussia Dortmund vs. Augsburg
Pittsburgh Steelers star Miles Killebrew was at the Signal Iduna Park to see Borussia Dortmund fall to a 1-0 defeat at the hands to Augsburg.
The 31-year-old safety was presented pitchside with the club's limited edition jersey before the game, saying "it doesn't get any better than this" as he soaked up the atmosphere in front of Dortmund's iconic Yellow Wall.
Unfortunately for the home side, Killebrew's appearance didn't bring with it a victory as they fell to a narrow defeat which leaves BVB 10th in the table and seven points back from the top-four.
Ties between the Bundesliga and NFL have never been closer, with regular-season NFL matches now being played in Germany every year.
Starting with Munich’s Allianz Arena and then Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park, a third city will join the circuit for 2025 as Berlin’s Olympiastadion prepares to host the Indianapolis Colts.
