Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer signs new deal

Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer has signed a new three-year deal to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena until 2029.

Laimer, who can play in central midfield and at full-back, says it is "something very special" to play for Bayern upon the announcement.

Since arriving at Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2023, the 29-year-old Austria international has made 136 competitive appearances, winning two Bundesliga titles, the DFB Cup and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.

"I’ve often emphasized how happy I am in Munich and how much fun it is to play football in this team," Laimer added. "I’ve felt that from day one here. I can help the team in many positions and want to continue giving everything for Bayern every single second. With this team, anything is possible and I’m already looking forward to the season starting again."

Speaking to the official Bayern website about the deal, board member for sport Max Eberl said, "We are delighted that Konny will continue his journey at Bayern. Reliability at the highest level has earned him a reputation, and with his skills and character, he is an important part of the team. He is a player who inspires and motivates others, every single day."

Laimer most recently participated at the FIFA World Cup 2026 with Austria, helping them reach the knockout stages. He will now prepare for the new season, as Bayern get underway with the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on 22 August against Borussia Dortmund.
