2026 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup: Bayern Munich to face Borussia Dortmund

As the 2025/26 Bundesliga and DFB Cup double winners, Bayern Munich will face Borussia Dortmund in the 2026 Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.

The fixture is traditionally contested by the league champions and the DFB Cup winners.

However, as Bayern clinched the domestic double with a 3-0 win against VfB Stuttgart in the DFB Cup final on 23 May, Bundesliga runners-up Dortmund have now been confirmed as their opponents on 22 August.

VfB Stuttgart 1-2 Bayern Munich

This year's Franz Beckenbauer Supercup will be held at Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park, which last staged the fixture in 2021. Bayern won 3-1 on that occasion, with Robert Lewandowski scoring twice against his former club.
