Quansah, 22, played the full 90 minutes in Tirana, helping the Three Lions to an eighth consecutive win-to-nil in World Cup qualifying.

After the final whistle, England captain Kane led the traditional dressing-room ceremony, handing the Leverkusen defender his legacy cap to mark the occasion.

An England legacy cap is a red velvet cap with a player's unique legacy number embroidered on it, awarded to all senior England national team players upon their international debut.

Kane, who netted twice on the night - his 77th and 78th goals in an England shirt - was full of praise for his new teammate.

"It’s amazing to have you as part of the squad. Obviously, your performance was top drawer," the 2024/25 Bundesliga winner said. "It’s never easy coming in and making a debut, especially away from home in a tough game where they want to perform and they want to win. So, congratulations and a clean sheet!"

Quansah - already a 36-time youth international - humbly accepted the memento, saying: "First and foremost, this is one of the greatest days of my life. Being part of the group and [being] perfect in qualifying obviously means a lot to me… It’s a massive honour and I’m so grateful."

Quansah will be back in Bundesliga action at the weekend when fifth-placed Leverkusen travel to Wolfsburg, looking to build on their statement 6-0 win over Heidenheim prior to the November international break.

The former Liverpool man has made 13 appearances in all competitions since moving to the BayArena in the summer.
