Jonathan Tah confirms departure from Bayer Leverkusen
After 10 years and almost 300 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, defender Jonathan Tah has confirmed that he'll be leaving the Werkself at the end of the season, upon the expiry of his contract. Tah was integral to the side's Bundesliga and DFB Cup success last term.
Following the 1-1 draw at St. Pauli, defender Tah confirmed that he will leave reigning champions Leverkusen after his contract expires in the summer.
"Everything was said from the beginning. There was a point when I made the decision not to extend my contract and not to stay here. That's still the case," the 29-year-old said when asked in the mixed zone.

Germany international Tah joined the club from Hamburg in the summer of 2015, and after exactly 10 years with the Werkself, will see their long-standing relationship come to an end in a few weeks. He'll leave the BayArena with three trophies under his belt (Bundesliga, DFB Cup, Supercup) as well as a lasting reputation amongst the Leverkusen faithful.
