Harry Kane's Klassiker heroics see Bayern Munich striker soar to further Bundesliga greatness
Harry Kane's brace in a thrilling 3-2 Der Klassiker win at Borussia Dortmund saw the super Bayern Munich striker set even more scoring milestones.
The greatest football players have a habit of stepping up and delivering on the biggest stages of all, and Kane is definitely in that category.
The Bayern scoring phenomenon smashed two goals in a thrilling 3-2 win over big rivals Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker - latching onto a cutback from Serge Gnabry to level early in the second half before sending his side on their way to a vital three points by rifling a penalty past Gregor Kobel.

As well as putting his side into a comfortable 11-point lead at the top of the table with ten games remaining, Kane has etched his way into yet more Bundesliga history.
Following doubles against Hoffenheim, Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt, Kane has become just the third player in the history of the league to manage braces in four consecutive matches - after Dortmund's Lothar Emmerich in 1967 and Wolfsburg's Tomislav Marić in 2001.
What's more, Kane extended his remarkable lead in the top goalscorers' standings with his 30th goal of the season, keeping him in pace with Robert Lewandowski's best-ever scoring campaign, previously thought unsurpassable, of 41 goals in 2020/21 - with the England captain just a goal behind the former Bayern legend at this stage of the season.
Kane's crucial penalty made it 24 out of 24 from the spot in the Bundesliga and saw him become just the second player after Paul Breitner (also for Bayern in 1980/81) to score ten Bundesliga penalties in a season.

Kane was his usual grounded self despite his latest heroics, saying after the match: "There are phases of the season when a lot of things just go your way, and I'm in one of those at the moment. I just have to keep on going like I have."
The next side to have the unenviable task of stopping Kane will be Borussia Mönchengladbach, who visit Munich as Bayern look to take another step closer to retaining their title on Matchday 25 next Friday (6 March, kick-off 8.30pm CET).
