Augsburg 2-0 Union Berlin

Phillip Tietz and former Union forward Sven Michel were on target as Augsburg underlined the European ambitions with a solid win.

RB Leipzig 3-0 Wolfsburg

Leipzig kept their slender lead in the battle for fourth spot thanks to strikes from Dani Olmo, Benjamin Šeško and Loïs Openda.

Mainz 4-1 Hoffenheim

Mainz took another big win to boost their bid to escape the drop - despite being 0-1 down at half-time. 

Bochum 1-1 Heidenheim
