Bayern Munich, Harry Kane and Michael Olise chasing even more records in remarkable season
Bayern Munich have already shattered numerous records this season, but with three matchdays remaining, the Bundesliga champions could still add more history to the books, with the likes of Harry Kane and Michael Olise aiming for the stars…
Bayern have only dropped points in five league games en route to the Bundesliga title this season, but it's the manner of their victories that have been most impressive.
Vincent Kompany's men top the table on 82 points, with an eye-watering goal difference of +81.

Should they win their remaining three games, they will equal the Bundesliga's single-season points record of 91, set by Bayern in 2012/13 (plus a goal difference of +80).
As things stand, Kompany's side currently boast the highest-ever Bundesliga goal difference. Three more wins would therefore make this the best season in the history of the division.
However, Bayern have already claimed one major record in recent weeks, setting a new marker for most goals in a single Bundesliga campaign. They broke the record on Matchday 29 by thrashing St. Pauli 5-0, with Leon Goretzka grabbing the all-important second goal.
By doubling their lead at the Millerntor-Stadion, Bayern surpassed a record that had stood since the 1971/72 season, when Gerd Müller and co. bagged 101 goals. Bayern's current total is 113, meaning they have averaged a staggering 3.65 goals per game.

The Bavarians have racked up a number of eye-catching wins in the process, with RB Leipzig suffering the brunt of Bayern’s scoring wrath by shipping 11 times across their two meetings with Kompany's men, who even put eight past Wolfsburg on Matchday 16.
The Munich-based outfit have also scored four goals or more on 15 occasions - another record.
Bayern's rate of 3.63 goals per game over the first 30 matchdays is the highest average by any team in the history of Europe's top five leagues (min. 20 games in a season).
It has them on course for a final total of 123 from 34 games. The record across the top divisions in Germany, England, Spain, Italy and France is 128 by Aston Villa in 1930/31, but the English side reached that tally in 42 matches (3.05 per game).
Part of what has made Bayern so successful this season is their squad depth and ability to turn games on their head. The Bundesliga champions have won eight games after going behind, equalling the Bayer Leverkusen record from 1999/2000.
A big reason for these turnarounds has been the players Kompany can call upon from the bench. No fewer than eighteen of Bayern's goals have been scored by substitutes this season - another record the champions can now call their own.
Several Bayern stars have displayed clinical finishing, but Kane once again leads the way. Having won the Torjägerkanone in both his first two years in Germany, the Englishman is on track to become the first player to claim the award in each of his first three Bundesliga seasons after plundering 33 goals thus far. As such, Robert Lewandowski's single-season record of 41 goals - and whether Kane can beat it - has been the topic of much conversation.
Kompany has been rotating his squad as Bayern continue to fight on all fronts, but eight goals in Kane's remaining three games is far from out of the question. He has netted eight goals in three appearances before, doing so between Matchdays 9 and 11 of the 2023/24 campaign.
Equally, if Kane scores one more penalty this season, he will take the outright record for most spot-kick goals in a season with 11, surpassing Paul Breitner's record of 10.
While the Englishman is his side's main goalscorer, Olise has been the leading provider. The France international picked up an assist against Freiburg on Matchday 28 to move onto 18 for the campaign, already more than the league-leading 15 he managed during the entire 2024/25 season.
It means Thomas Müller’s overall record of 21 assists in 2019/20 is very much at risk, especially given that Olise has twice managed three-assist hauls this season.
Watch: What makes Olise so unique?

Of course, Kane and Olise are just two parts of Bayern's magnificent trio, with Luis Díaz also on the verge of a couple of records. He and Kane have scored 48 goals between them, just six behind the record for a duo set by Grafite and Edin Džeko (54 goals in 2008/09). Kane and Olise are only just behind on 46.
As a trio, Kane, Olise and Díaz need just four more goals to equal the record set by Gerd Müller, Uli Hoeneß and Franz Roth (65 goals) in the 1971/72 season.
Having wrapped up the Bundesliga title, Bayern's next aim is to add another memorable treble. The champions are set to face Stuttgart in the DFB Cup Final on 23 May, and they can be confident of overturning their 5-4 first-leg deficit against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
On current form, Kane, Olise and co. have every chance of sending one or two more records tumbling before the 2025/26 campaign draws to a close.
