Full-time: Darmstadt 2-2 Frankfurt

Eintracht were very much the better side in the first hour, going two goals up in similar style after Eric Dina Ebimbe twice cut back from the right. Nkounkou put away the first before Knauff doubled the advantage in the second half. Darmstadt then got back into it with Justvan after a high turnover and looked the only team likely to get another at the Böllenfalltor. They did just that five minutes into added time when Klarer tucked in a Kempe cross and complete the Lilies’ first two-goal comeback in the Bundesliga since 1982.

Justvan gets one back!

The hosts are back in it. They intercept an attempted clearance and Pfeiffer is found in the box. He can't get his shot away but it falls kindly for Justvan, signed only yesterday, to put the ball away between Trapp's legs on his Darmstadt debut.

Pfeiffer!

Finally Darmstadt create something meaningful and call Trapp into action as Pfeiffer produces a first-time effort from a delivery from the right. The Eintracht keeper is equal to it, though.

Knauff doubles up!

Frankfurt now two goals to the good and it's almost a carbon copy of the first as Dina Ebimbe is given the freedom of the right wing and cuts back low. This time it's Kalajdžić on the end of it. He doesn't quite get his shot right but it falls for Knauff to tap home from close range.

Half-time: Darmstadt 0-1 Frankfurt

It’s been a really good 45 minutes from the visitors, preventing Darmstadt from mustering up a single effort on target. At the other end, Frankfurt have looked to pour forward at pace and have the advantage thanks to a well-taken Nkounkou strike just after the half-hour mark.

Nkounkou strikes!

Frankfurt have the goal their dominance deserves. Dina Ebimbe is away down the right and goes for the low cutback. It's missed by Knauff, but Nkounkou is there behind him, takes a touch and smashes beyond Schuhen for his second Bundesliga goal.

Nkounkou!

Rasping effort from 20 yards by the Frankfurt left wing-back. It even takes a slight touch off a defender on the way through, but Schuhen makes an excellent one-handed reaction stop.

Lieberknecht's view on Frankfurt

"It's a derby. Of course, our opponents have certain strengths but I expect my team to show one thing above all else on Saturday: a derby atmosphere on the pitch - in addition to implementing our tactics, which will be important. A derby like this is always something special."

Toppmöller's view on Darmstadt

"Darmstadt know how to play football with good patterns of play. It’s only in the final third that they sometimes lack precision. They have a team of lads whose hearts are in the right place and who give their all, which impresses me."

Trouble at home

Darmstadt are not only winless in their last 10 league games, but they have also collected just one point from their last six at home and have failed to score in each of their last four as hosts. As for Frankfurt, they're looking a third successive Bundesliga win for the first time under Dino Toppmöller.
