Leipzig just about hold on for a valuable win in the race for Europe. The away side ultimately secure a somewhat flattering victory. Werner's team proved exceptionally efficient, while Werder rarely posed a real threat. Musah's consolation goal came too late, but it was a wonderful moment for the young forward who looks to have a big future in the game.

It was all far too easy for Brazilian forward Rômulo. It's a lovely finish from the winger! Schmid forces a save from Vandevoordt at one end, which sets Leipzig away on a dangerous counter. After stopping Rômulo's effort, the Bremen defenders are powerless to prevent Nusa firing into the near corner of the net from outside the box. It's just the start Werner will have been looking for.

Boniface returns to Bremen training

The 25-year-old forward has trained individually this week after completing his rehab in Leverkusen. "We will then slowly ease him back into team training, in the hopes that he might able to feature again before the end of the season," said Peter Niemeyer, Bremen's head of professional football.

Flawless break for Bremen quartet
