Leipzig battled back to draw here against Heidenheim last week, but it saw them leapfrogged in the table by both Freiburg (a point ahead in fourth) and Mainz (ahead in goal difference on fifth). It means a draw would take them both back above Freiburg, but three points for either would do their Champions League qualification hopes a world of good.

Marco Rose also makes two alternations, although in Leipzig's case from Wednesday's DFB Cup quarter-final win over Wolfsburg. Péter Gulácsi returns in goal as expected for Maarten Vandevoordt, plus Amadou Haidara gets the nod over Kevin Kampl in midfield.

No Henriksen opts for two changes from the side that won against St. Pauli last weekend. Jae-sung Lee was involved in both goals after his introduction so starts in place of Nelson Weiper. At the back, Dominik Kohr serves a suspension for 10 yellow cards, with Andreas Hanche-Olsen slotting in for him.

Bo Henriksen's view on Leipzig

"We can see from the table that it'll be an important game, but it's no more important than the last or the next. We need to perform well to hopefully head back to Mainz with a point or three. But we obviously always play to win. Leipzig are unbeaten in six in the Bundesliga. They've played three games this week and are a very good team, but that's not important for us. We only look at ourselves."

Marco Rose's view on Mainz

"Mainz have one of the best defences in the division. They don't allow you much, defend incredibly hard. But they don't just sit back, also want to press and attack the opposition high up the pitch. It could turn into a wild game at times. We need to win those 50-50 duels and not let it get too wild. Our job is then to make sure we get at their goal."
