CAN COLOGNE RESPOND?

Union have brought on fresh legs after taking the lead and of the two sides, they have looked the most likely to take the lead again in this game. Now the home side will have to find another gear if they want to equalise for a second time.

FEW GOALS WILL DECIDE THIS

It's already clear to see that this game could see few goals in the second half, or maybe just one winner for either side. As we enter the final 30 it could also begin to open up.

That's Awoniyi's second ever Bundesliga goal, the other coming in his loan spell at Mainz last season. Interestingly enough that goal for Mainz also came against Cologne.

TALE OF THE TAPE

Cologne have gone without a win in the Bundesliga for 17 games stretching back to March. One more would be a negative club record. Meanwhile, Union are now unbeaten for a club-record six Bundesliga games. They have never before been as high as fifth in the league table.
