GAME OVER!

Bayern were the clear and deserved winners here after Dortmund struggled to find any sort of rhythm at all. Flick's charges were clinical in the second half and now move two points above BVB in the standings.

THANKS FOR JOINING US

Phew, what a rip-roaring match that was, especialluy in the second half as Bayern refused to ease off against their perennial title rivals. Thanks for much for tuning in, and until next time!

COUTINHO DRAGS A SHOT WIDE

The Brazilian scampers forward from the middle and gets a shot off, but he doesn't get enough power or accuracy on it to trouble Bürki.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Dortmund get the ball rolling once more at the Allianz Arena. No changes from either side at the break.

ANOTHER LEWANDOWSKI MILESTONE

The striker's effort to make it 3-0 was the 2,500th goal Bayern have scored at home in the Bundesliga, and simultaneously the 2,500th that Dortmund have conceded in the top flight.
88'

STUNNING FROM PERISIC!

Pavard floats a cross from the right over towards the left-hand edge of the Dortmund penalty area. Perisic arrives at pace and hits a left-footed volley without breaking stride that whizzes a whisker wide of the far post. That would have been a sensational goal.
86'

SOLID FROM SCHULZ

Perisic breaks forward down the left before sending a lofted crossfield pass over to Coutinho. Schulz closes him down just inside the box, and also has half an eye on Lewandowski's run behind him. The BVB defender does well to stand his ground and eventually comes away with the ball.
83'

FIVE IN A ROW

This is the fifth time in succession that Bayern have put four or more goals past Dortmund at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga, having previously won 5-0, 6-0, 4-1 and 5-1.
80'

HUMMELS OWN GOAL

Coutinho sprays a long ball out to the left to Perisic, who does a stepover past Hakimi before drilling a low cross towards the front post. Bürki looks set to collect it, but Hummels sticks out a leg to clear it and diverts the ball past his goalkeeper and into the net. A miserable afternoon for Dortmund just got worse.

GAME OVER, SURELY!

Lewandowski gets his second of the game and 16th of the season to all but hand Bayern all three points. He collects a long ball forward, lays it off to Müller before scampering into the box to receive the return pass. A brilliant first touch sets him up to tap it past Bürki and into the net.

MÜLLER BLAZES WIDE!

Coman collects the ball on the left-hand edge of the Dortmund penalty area and lays it off to Müller, who takes a touch to settle himself before skewing a shot well wide of the target.
71'

ON COMES COUTINHO

Gnabry is taken off and Brazilian playmaker Coutinho comes on. Müller will likely move out wide on the right now, with Coutinho playing centrally behind Lewandowski.
69'

SO CLOSE FROM DORTMUND!

Hakimi powers down the right and sends a devilish cross into the middle. Martinez gets a toe on it, but Alcacer is arriving at the far post and looks to bundle it over the line, but he just can't get his feet sorted and it trickles wide. That was Dortmund's best chance of the game so far.
65'

BAYERN TAKING THE STING OUT OF THE GAME

The hosts aren't letting Dortmund get any momentum with Reus and Alcacer and are playing keep-ball, patiently waiting for openings they can pounce on. You get the sense there's at least one more goal in this game.
61'

DORTMUND GOING FOR IT!

BVB boss Favre makes a double substitution and it’s an attacking one, with Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer coming on for Götze and Weigl.
60'

LEWANDOWSKI JUST WIDE!

Lovely footwork inside the box from the striker to bring the ball down and fashion a pocket of space to shoot, but he bends his effort just wide of the post.
59'

REUS STRIPPING OFF

Dortmund are preparing to make a change, with captain Marco Reus warming up and getting ready to come on. Could he provide the spark they need to come back into this?
54'

BAYERN WELL ON TOP

The Reds are now up to 61 per cent possession and looking very comfortable. Part of the issue with Dortmund looks to be their pass completion, which is down at 83 per cent. They just can't get going at the moment.
47'

GNABRY MAKES IT 2-0!

A long ball from the back dissects the Dortmund defence and suddenly Müller is completely free down the left. He speeds into the box and squares it for Lewandowski, who can't get a shot off under pressure from a defender, but it falls to Gnabry, who is left with a simple finish at the back post. It's initially chalked off for offside, but a VAR check reveals it's a legitimate goal and now Bayern have breathing space!

BAYERN DESERVEDLY AHEAD

After a somewhat cagey opening, Bayern gradually exerted greater influence on proceedings and went ahead through - who else? - Lewandowski, who headed in Pavard's cross. It was all Bayern after that and they've had one or two presentable chances to extend their lead, while keeping Dortmund at arm's length at the other end.
44'

WITSEL JUST WIDE

Dortmund have their first statistical effort on goal of the match as Guerreiro delivers an in-swinging free-kick from the right towards the back post. It's high and deep and just a bit too long for Witsel, who can't get any direction on the ball as he stretches for it.
44'

DAVIES DUMMIES...

... when it looks like a shot would be the better option. Alaba cuts a ball back from the left and Davies could take a first-time shot, but instead chooses to let the ball roll through his legs towards Lewandowski, but a Dortmund defender gets there first and clears.
42'

VITAL INTERCEPTION FROM HUMMELS

Lewandowski spies Gnabry making a run and tries to play him through, but Hummels is alive to the danger and gets a toe on the ball. It's an important touch, as Gnabry would have been one-on-one with Bürki otherwise.
38'

GNABRY GOAL DISALLOWED

Davies delivers a brilliant ball from the left straight to the feet of Lewandowski, whose first-time shot takes a deflection off a defender and falls kindly for Gnabry, who taps into the empty net. However, it won't count as Gnabry was offside when Lewandowski took his initial shot.

EARLY SUB FOR DORTMUND

Guerreiro has come on for Sancho, who had had a quiet game. Perhaps he was still feeling the effects of the thigh injury he sustained recently.
34'

TOP STUFF FROM KIMMICH

The Germany international muscles Witsel off the ball in midfield, even though the big Belgian is taller and heavier than him. Kimmich eventually wins a free-kick as Witsel fouls him trying to win it back; it's a moment that's indicative of the way the game has gone so far.
31'

BAYERN IN CONTROL

The hosts have had 56 per cent of possession so far, have won 60 per cent of all challenges and have had five efforts on Dortmund's goal. The visitors are still yet to test Neuer at the other end of the pitch.
27'

HUMMELS OFF THE LINE!

Lewandowski is, astonishingly, afforded plenty of time and space in the left-hand side of the box to pick out a pass in the middle. He finds Coman, whose shot is cleared off the line by Hummels. The danger isn't over though, and Akanji and Hummels need to make last-ditch blocks in quick succession to prevent Bayern scoring again.
24'

(ANOTHER) RECORD FOR LEWANDOWSKI

The 31-year-old's goal means he is now the first player in Bundesliga history ever to score on each of the first 11 games of a season. His tally of 15 goals after 11 rounds of matches also pulls him equals a record set by the legendary Gerd Müller, who had the same haul in 1968/69.
21'

HOW WILL DORTMUD REACT?

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc wanted his side to "play like men" in this game and they will certainly need to stand up and be counted now if they are to find a way back into it. Bayern are looking solid at the back so far; BVB are yet to have a shot on goal.
17'

LEWANDOWSKI AGAIN!

The Polish hitman continues his astonishing run of scoring in every Bundesliga game this season. Gnabry's cross from the right is initially cut out, but it bounces to Pavard wide on the right. His first-time ball back into the area is met by the unmarked Lewandowski, who heads in his 15th league goal of the campaign.

GOOD OMEN FOR DORTMUND

In BVB's last three Bundesliga matches away to Bayern they have been 1-0 down by the 10th minute at the latest.
15'

ALMOST AN OPENING FOR SANCHO

Dortmund win possession in midfield and all of a sudden they have four players pouring forward, with Sancho on the ball. He cuts inside from the left, looking for a gap to shoot or find a pass, but he's soon crowded out before he can do either and the chance goes begging.
10'

COOL AS YOU LIKE FROM HUMMELS

Lewandowski receives a pass from Davies in midfield and spins before immediately charging forward. If he can get past Hummels then he'll be clean through on goal, but the Dortmund defender watches the ball all the way, stands his ground and then makes a brilliant tackle to nick the ball off his toe.
8'

SUPERB FROM COMAN

The Bayern winger is normally known for making waves in attack, but this time he does brilliantly in defence. Dortmund had swept their way forward from left to right and Hakimi was charging down the flank, but Coman muscled his way in front of the full-back and wriggled is way out of a tight corner before clearing the ball.
4'

STILL SETTLING

That early scare for Dortmund aside, the majority of the play has been concentrated in midfield as both sides try to wrestle contol of the game. There have been a few little fouls as players attempt to make their presence felt, which has prevented the match getting into any real flow as yet.
2'

BÜRKI ALERT!

A first sniff of goal for the hosts as Lewandowski looks to be clean through on goal after just 36 seconds, but Bürki darts out of his area to clear the danger.

A MINUTES SILENCE FOR ROBERT ENKE

Before kick-off there is a minute's silence in memory of former Gladbach, Hannover and Germany goalkeeper Robert Enke, who tragically committed suicide 10 years ago this weekend.

WERE MOMENTS AWAY!

The teams are out on the pitch and lining up for the pre-match handshakes. Before all that, however, Bayern present Thomas Müller with a bouquet of flowers and a giant gingerbread biscuit in the shape of a heart in honour of him making his 500th competitive game for the club recently.

RECORD (OF SORTS) FOR FLICK

Hansi Flick is the first Bayern coach to field the same starting line-up in his first two games in charge since Felix Magath did so in 2004. As such, he also hands Leon Goretzka his first Bundesliga start of the season.

NO COUTINHO OR THIAGO FOR BAYERN

Bayern interim coach Hansi Flick has kept faith with the same players that overcame Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday. That means another start for Alphonso Davies at left-back, while Thomas Müller is in attacking midfield in place of Philippe Coutinho, with Leon Goretzka in central midfield for Thiago. No surprises that Lewandowski begins up front...

REUS AND ALCACER ON THE BENCH!

Dortmund coach Lucien Favre has opted to keep two of his heavyweight players in reserve here, with Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer rested, presumably as a precaution, following minor injuries. As such, Julian Brandt begins in attacking midfield for the former, with Mario Götze expected to play up top in place of Alcacer. Elsewhere, Achraf Hakimi, who has been impressive in attacking right midfield of late, drops down to right-back.

BAYERN STARTING XI

Neuer (c) – Pavard, Martinez, Alaba, Davies – Kimmich, Goretzka – Gnabry, Müller, Coman – Lewandowski SUBS: Ulreich, Thiago, Coutinho, Cuisance, Perisic, Tolisso, Mai

DORTMUND STARTING XI

Bürki – Hakimi, Akanji, Hummels, Schulz – Witsel, Weigl – Sancho, Brandt, Hazard – Götze SUBS: Hitz, Zagadou, Delaney, Dahoud, Alcacer, Reus, Guerreiro, Piszczek, Bruun Larsen

BAYERN UNUSUALLY VULNERABLE AT HOME

The defending Bundesliga champs haven’t quite been their imperious selves on home turf this season, winning three, drawing one and losing one of their five home games so far. Still, Dortmund (13 points) and Eintracht Frankfurt (14 points) are the only teams with a better record on their own patch this term.

SOLD OUT STADIUM

Unsurprisingly, tickets for this game sold out weeks ago and the Allianz Arena will be packed to its 75,000 capacity come kick-off.

NO KLASSIKER LEADER

For the first time in nine years, neither Bayern nor Dortmund are top of the table going into a Klassiker. Prior to Matchday 11, BVB were second in the standings, three points behind frontrunners Borussia Mönchengladbach, who play at home to Bremen tomorrow.  Bayern are just one point behind their visitors though.

FLICK: “THE BOYS ARE REALLY UP FOR IT”

Bayern caretaker coach Hansi Flick gave this assessment of today’s game at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “It’ll be a very intense game and one the whole of Germany is looking forward to. We’re playing at home and want to win. Focusing on defence did us good, but we know we still have room for improvement up front. The boys are really up for it and we’ll give it our all. There’s a good mix of a certain relaxed mood coupled with maximum concentration. We know how important the game is.”

MAKESHIFT BAYERN DEFENCE

Niklas Süle? Injured. Lucas Hernandez? Injured. Jerome Boateng? Suspended. With three of Bayern's first-choice centre-backs unavailable today, interim head coach Hansi Flick will be forced to play an unfamiliar backline today. He is expected to stick with the four that began against Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday: Benjamin Pavard at right-back, Javi Martinez and David Alaba in the centre and Alphonso Davies at left-back.

WILL SANCHO AND REUS PLAY?

The joys of mind games ahead of big matches! Dortmund captain Marco Reus and fellow attacker Jadon Sancho are both rated as doubtful ahead of kick-off due to minor injuries, with Favre saying on Friday, “We don’t know whether they’ll make it or not.” Nevertheless, both players travelled to Munich with the rest of the squad so are options to play. If not, however, Dortmund are still well stocked in attacking midfield and can choose from Mario Götze, Thorgan Hazard, Julian Brandt, Raphael Guerreiro and Achraf Hakimi to fill the void.

FAVRE: "WE DONT FEAR BAYERN"

Dortmund head coach Lucien Favre gave his thoughts on today's clash at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “It’s special. Both clubs are very important in the Bundesliga, so it’s an important game. We’ve had a difficult period but now we’re doing better and we want to continue on that path. We respect Bayern for a lot of different reasons, but we don’t fear them.”

ZORC: "WE NEED TO PLAY LIKE MEN"

Aware of Dortmund's disappointing results in Munich in recent years (defeats in their last five league visits), BVB sporting director Michael Zorc has called on the visitors to rise to the occasion this time: “Mats Hummels and Axel Witsel have said this already too, but on Saturday we need to play like men. We have to stand up for ourselves. That’s what we haven’t done there in the last few years and that’s exactly what we’re demanding of the team now.”

CAN LEWANDOWSKI CONTINUE HIS RUN?

In case you've been living under a rock for the last few weeks, you'll be aware that Bayern talisman Robert Lewandowski is in the form of his life. He has played in 16 competitive games for the Reds so far this season (Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB Cup) and has found the net in 15 of them - scoring 21 times in the process. Only Bundesliga 2 side VfL Bochum have prevented him from scoring, although Bayern still won their second-round cup tie 2-1 last week.

BAYERN TO BOUNCE BACK?

This game arguably comes at the worst possible time for Dortmund, as Bayern will still be smarting from the 5-1 humbling against Eintracht Frankfurt last week that prompted Niko Kovac's departure from the club. BVB will need to be on their game right from the off.

101st BUNDESLIGA KLASSIKER

It's advantage Bayern if past results are anything to go by. The teams have faced off exactly 100 times in the Bundesliga to date, with Bayern winning 46, Dortmund 25, with 29 draws. Indeed, the Bavarians have been particularly unforgiving in recent clashes at the Allianz Arena, recording 5-1, 4-1, 6-0 and 5-0 scorelines in the four most recent fixtures.

THE BIG ONE!

What a treat we have in store today as defending Bundesliga champions Bayern welcome long-standing rivals Dortmund to the Allianz Arena. While it may be too early in the season to be decisive in the title race, a win for either side could go a long way to laying down a big marker.
