Can Hannover hold on?
At this point, only Hannover and Elversberg (who play tomorrow) are yet to concede a goal in the new season. In 2024/25, the 96ers didn't concede their first goal until matchday 4 - here in Düsseldorf!

Titz brings on Yokota and Roggow for the final phase of the game.

Deja Vu for Fortuna
The second penalty conceded this season already by Thioune's men, this is starting to become a familiar feeling.

55'
Imprecise crosses
Hettwer's cross from the left goes too far, fortunately, Appelkamp collects and plays it low from the right – but Ghiță can clear at the near post.

47'
Down on the ground

45'
Hannover's direct approach paying off
The visitors have done well in the last few minutes, moving the ball with few touches, however, they seem to lack the cutting edge in the final third.
42'
Another card for Düsseldorf
The next Düsseldorfer to receive a warning is Schmidt, who goes in a bit too hard from behind on Pichler.
40'

Narrow miss!
Pichler wants to move quickly and plays the ball to Bundu on the wing, whose cross narrowly misses the onrushing Leopold in the middle.
19'
Fortuna assertive but unproductive
The hosts have seen a bit more of the game with the ball, but are still struggling to create anything tangible going forward.
16'
Young Hannover XI
The 96ers starting XI has an average age of 24.6 years - that's the youngest Hannover starting formation in Bundsliga 2 since June 1999! Back then, the young Gerald Asamoah was among the squad.

A look at the benches
For the visitors, new signing Roggow - who was active for Dortmund's U23s alongside Hettwer last season - is included in the squad for the first time. Fortuna's new hopeful Muslija is already in the squad one day after his loan from Freiburg, and Egouli is with the first team for the first time three days after his 23rd birthday.

Taibi absent
Waniss Taibi will be unavailable for Hannover in Düsseldorf. The 23-year-old suffered an adductor injury after being substituted on against Kaiserslautern on Matchday 1.
Tributes to Frank Mill planned
There will be a minute's silence before kick-off for former Fortuna and Germany player Frank Mill, who passed away on Tuesday. The players will also wear black armbands in tribute.
Titz's proud record
New Hannover coach Christian Titz won his final match with Magdeburg on Matchday 34 of last season 4-2 at home Düsseldorf, and inspired his former side to a 5-2 away win there last season. His counterpart Daniel Thioune has taken only one win in a total of 17 matches as a player and coach against Hannover, but that was a 1-0 win at home last season.
Fortuna like hosting Hannover
Fortuna are unbeaten at home against Hannover in ten competitive matches (with four wins and six draws). The last away win for Hannover in Düsseldorf was a 1-0 victory all the way back in October 1992 (in Bundesliga 2).
Too tight to call?
Six of the last eight encounters between these two sides have ended in a draw.
