Rösler's Fürth nightmare

On 23 May 2021, Uwe Rösler lost 2-3 with Düsseldorf at Ronhof, which was his last match as Fortuna coach. He witnessed Fürth's promotion party, as the Franconian side overtook Kiel on the final matchday with this 3-2 victory to finish second.

Fürth last won against Bochum on 7 November 2020 (2-0 away), and in their last home victory against Bochum (3-1 on 7 December 2019), Branimir Hrgota bagged a brace.

Hope for VfL

Bochum have won their last three competitive matches against Fürth, two of them in the Bundesliga in 2021/22. The last second-division encounter at Ronhof in March 2021 was still a top match (1st against 3rd), with both teams being promoted together that season as champions (VfL) and runners-up.
