1) Harry Kane
Club: Bayern
Goals:
12
Appearances:
9

Death, taxes and Kane goals. Bayern's razor-sharp No.9 struck 26 times for the record champions last season, adding to his debut campaign haul of 36. In fact, it's now 74 goals in 72 Bundesliga games and counting for the 2024/25 Player of the Season!

Ex-Bayern and Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski holds the Bundesliga's single-season goals record (41, 2020/21) and to date is the only player to claim three or more successive Torjägerkanonen outright - but for how long? Particularly given Kane started his latest campaign with a hat-trick against Leipzig and has since netted another triple in Bayern's 4-1 away win in Hoffenheim on Matchday 4. He also found the back of the net in the 2-1 Der Klassiker victory over Borussia Dortmund as part of a stunning all-round display.

2) Jonathan Burkardt
Club: Eintracht Frankfurt
Goals:
6
Appearances:
9

A summer signing from Mainz, Burkardt ended the 2024/25 campaign as the Bundesliga's top-scoring German player and has picked up where he left off at his new club this term. After opening his account with a double against Galatasaray in the Champions League, the 25-year-old netted in back-to-back games against Union and Gladbach before scoring another brace at Freiburg on Matchday 7.

Another double against St. Pauli on Matchday 8 further underlined his goalscoring ability. He is yet to score a senior hat-trick, but in this form, you wouldn't be against him doing just that this campaign.

= 3) Luis Díaz
Club: Bayern Munich
Goals: 5
Appearances: 9

The Colombian attacker has been an extra bright spark in Bayern's dazzling array of attacking talents since signing from Liverpool in the summer - and five goals in his opening nine appearances shows he has the output to match the hype.

= 3) Can Uzun
Club: Eintracht Frankfurt
Goals:
5
Appearances:
9

The talented 19-year-old playmaker is soaring for the Eagles this term and is playing a major part in Frankfurt's attacking efforts.

In fact, his goal against Union in Eintracht's 4-3 Matchday 4 defeat saw the starlet become the first player ever under the age of 20 to have scored a goal on the opening four matchdays of a Bundesliga season.

He added to that on Matchday 5 when netting in Die Adler's high-scoring win against Borussia Mönchengladbach

=3) Fisnik Asllani
Club: Hoffenheim

Goals: 5
Appearances: 9

A haul of 18 goals in Bundesliga 2 on loan to Elversberg last season suggested the 23-year-old attacker was ready to impress on his return to his parent club - and five strikes in his opening eight Bundesliga matches confirm he is a striker who can make the difference at the top level.

His brace against Union Berlin - where he progressed through the youth ranks before moving to Hoffenheim - was the highlight of his season far, while he also managed a goal and an assist in the opening day triumph over Bayer Leverkusen.

= 3) Christoph Baumgartner
Club: RB Leipzig
Goals:
5
Appearances:
9

Austria international Baumgartner only scored twice in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season but has already more than doubled that tally this term after hitting a purple patch in October. The midfielder, who had opened his account for the campaign at home to Heidenheim on Matchday 2, scored in Leipzig's 1-1 draw at Dortmund earlier this month before netting both goals in a 2-1 win over Hamburg on Matchday 7.

He followed that up with a goal in the 6-0 demolition of Augsburg on Matchday 8. Baumgartner's record for a Bundesliga campaign is seven strikes - it may well be only a matter of time before he surpasses that.

= 3) Serhou Guirassy
Club: Borussia Dortmund
Goals: 5
Appearances: 8

Guirassy has been Kane's closest pursuer in recent years, with 28 goals for VfB Stuttgart in 2023/24 followed by 21 across his debut season with Dortmund, including six in five games to end the campiagn.

The Guinean missed a handful of fixtures through injury, but did outdo his Bayern counterpart in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League, his 13 goals during BVB's run to the last eight only matched by Barcelona's Raphinha.

With five strikes this term in eight outings, he is on course for another strong campaign, especially after breaking a four-game goal drought with the winner in the Matchday 9 win over Augsburg.

= 3) Haris Tabaković
Club: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Goals: 5
Appearances: 8

Signed on loan from fellow Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, the Switzerland-born Bosnia and Herzegovina international has already surpassed his tally of three goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances for the Sinsheim club last season.

In the absence of Tim Kleindienst, Tabaković is providing cover and competition for the Gladbach talisman, and will take some moving from the team on this form when Kleindienst does return.

On Matchday 9, Tabaković scored twice and provided an assist as Gladbach ended their 15-game winless run in style with a dominant 4-0 victory over St. Pauli.

= 9) Michael Olise
Club: Bayern Munich
Goals:
4
Appearances:
9
* Seven other players also have four goals

Last season's top assist provider, Olise enjoyed a jaw-dropping 27 goal involvements in his very first campaign in the Bundesliga last time out. The French wizard wasted no time in showing he fancied beating that tally in 2025/26 with a smart goalscoring double against Leipzig as Germany's top division got underway, while his industrious block/goal against Dortmund secured all three points for the Bavarians.
