Gnabry, 30, started Bayern's astonishing UEFA Champions League semi-final triumph over Real Madrid last week, but was replaced by Jamal Musiala in the 61st minute.

On Saturday, he took part in Bayern's final training session ahead of their Bundesliga Matchday 30 encounter at home to VfB Stuttgart, where they sealed the 2025/26 title with a 4-2 victory.

Extensive medical examinations subsequently diagnosed Gnabry with an adductor muscle tear in his right leg.

An official Bayern statement indicated he would be absent for a "lengthy period", but the player himself has since taken to Instagram to confrm the injury will affect his summer plans.

"As for the World Cup dream with Germany, that’s sadly over for me," Gnabry wrote. "Like the rest of the country I’ll be supporting the boys from home."
