New kid on the block

Fans of Der Rekordmeister will no doubt eagerly be awaiting Nathaniel Brown's first minutes in a Bayern shirt, after the left-back joined on a high-profile switch from Eintracht Frankfurt earlier in the window.

More on that Bayern team

Kompany has named another young side to face Rottach-Egern, but Kim, Ulreich, Palhinha and Bischof - scorer against Wehen Wiesbaden at the weekend - all feature. The Belgian also has several big names to choose from on the Bayern bench, with Neuer, Brown, Kimmich, Tah, Ito and Pavlović all among the substitutes.

Goals galore?

Bayern's latest pre-season friendly could be a high-scoring one. The Bundesliga champions have scored 64 goals in their last three meetings with today's opponents, winning 23-0 in 2019, 27-0 in 2023 and 14-1 in 2024.

World Cup stars return
