Jean-Luc Dompé suspended by Hamburg
Hamburg have suspended winger Jean-Luc Dompé until further notice. On Thursday morning (29 January), the French forward was informed of the decision following a comprehensive discussion with the sporting leadership at the club.
During the meeting, it was made clear to Dompé what is expected of him in his role as a professional footballer and role model, as well as a representative of HSV. The club reached the decision following serious misconduct from the 30-year-old. Dompé was stopped during a traffic check last Sunday (25 January). During the breathalyser test, the police detected alcohol in his system.
The club will reach a decision on further consequences after the conclusion of internal proceedings.
