RB Leipzig and Germany defender David Raum launches fashion label
RB Leipzig captain David Raum is stepping into the fashion world, launching his own clothing label as the Germany international turns a long-standing passion for style into a business venture.
Raum has co-founded Vorgrace with two friends from his hometown of Nuremberg. The brand's debut collection, launching on Friday, will feature a limited range of hoodies, trousers, long-sleeved tops and baseball caps.
The 28-year-old has already been quietly promoting the label, wearing Vorgrace pieces during the FIFA World Cup 2026, including on Germany's flight to Toronto ahead of their 2–1 victory over Côte d'Ivoire.
"We got together two years ago and said: 'Let's make our own clothes,'" he explained, reflecting on the project's roots.
Although Raum is involved in both the creative and production processes, he insists the brand is not an extension of his football profile. "I'm mainly involved in the design, but also in production. But I stay in the background; I don't want to sell merchandise or the David Raum brand."
Elaborating on Vorgrace's identity, he said: "We always say, 'Simplicity with an edge' – simple fashion, but with that certain something. Fashion that anyone can wear, from young to old."
Known for his tattoos and interest in fashion, Raum has regularly used style as a way to express his personality away from football, making the launch of Vorgrace a natural extension of his interests. His attention will soon turn back to the pitch, with the left-back set to return to Leipzig next week as the club step up their pre-season preparations.
Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga last season under Ole Werner, but the club opted for a change in the dugout during the summer, appointing Martín Demichelis as his successor. The new head coach will be tasked with building on that campaign and pushing Leipzig back into the title race.
Die Roten Bullen begin their competitive season with a DFB Cup first-round tie against Eintracht Trier on 22 August, before facing Borussia Mönchengladbach on Bundesliga Matchday 1 a week later.
