Bundesliga Fantasy Manager: Which goalkeepers should you buy?
Should you go for Manuel Neuer at Bayern Munich for a greater chance at getting points for clean sheets? Or would a promoted goalkeeper likely to face more shots offer a better return? We've got some tips as to who might be your best picks in goal in Official Fantasy Manager 2025/26.
Alexander Nübel (VfB Stuttgart, 7.5m)
VfB Stuttgart's Alexander Nübel (7.5m) is one of four clear first-choice goalkeepers priced between seven and seven and a half million. Although slightly cheaper options, Neuer (7m), Mark Flekken (7.3m) and Gregor Kobel (7.4m) tend to face too few shots on goal at Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund respectively to consistently score big points in Fantasy Manager.
With that in mind, the Stuttgart custodian is likely the best bargain.
What's new in 2025/26 Fantasy Manager?
Marvin Schwäbe (Cologne, 7.8m)
Cologne's Marvin Schwäbe (7.8m) costs only slightly more than Nübel. And the 30-year-old is likely to have plenty to do at the newly promoted club. That isn't a bad thing in Fantasy teams. And as he proved last season in the Billy Goats' promotion push, he undoubtedly has the quality to handle it.
Time to put your Fantasy team together!
Daniel Heuer Fernandes (Hamburg, 8.1m)
The same logic applies to Hamburg's Daniel Heuer Fernandes (8.1m), who is only marginally more expensive. As the starting goalkeeper for a newly promoted team, who made countless impressive saves last season, he has plenty of Fantasy points potential.
However, the 32-year-old isn't perhaps nailed on in goal anymore. HSV have signed Daniel Peretz on loan from Bayern to provide competition. Priced at just 1.1m, if he were to get the nod, there's little stopping you making a move for him, given his value is almost as low as a player can go.
Here's how Fantasy Manager works!
Kevin Müller (Heidenheim, 8m)
Heidenheim's Kevin Müller (8m) comes in slightly cheaper than Heuer Fernandes, but having contested the relegation play-offs last season, is likely to be busy between the sticks again in 2025/26.
What makes the 34-year-old an appealing purchase, however, is that last term he faced by far the most shots on goal (170), making 108 saves – the second most in the league.
Only Péter Gulácsi of RB Leipzig (6.8m) made more saves with 109, though he is currently in a battle for the No.1 spot with Maarten Vandevoordt (8.2m).
Michael Zetterer (Werder Bremen, 8.3m)
Werder Bremen's Michael Zetterer (8.3m) faced the second-highest number of shots on goal last season (158 in total). The 30-year-old saved 102 of those efforts – the fourth most in the Bundesliga.
In this regard, only Gulácsi, Müller and Mainz stopper Robin Zentner ranked higher; but Zentner comes with a comparatively hefty price tag of 9.6m.
