Alexander Nübel departs Bayern Munich for Beşiktaş
Germany goalkeeper Alexander Nübel has joined Turkish outfit Beşiktaş from Bayern Munich.
Nübel joined Bayern from Schalke in 2020, but made just four appearances for the record champions. He has spent the last three seasons on loan at VfB Stuttgart, having previously been loaned to French side Monaco.
"Alexander Nübel is a very good goalkeeper who has consistently developed and established himself at FC Bayern, Monaco and Stuttgart. He now wants to take the next step at Beşiktaş. We wish him all the best for his future," said Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl.
Nübel, who was part of Germany's FIFA 2026 World Cup squad, made 145 Bundesliga appearances and also helped Stuttgart win the 2024/25 DFB Cup.
Manuel Neuer will remain Bayern's No.1 for the 2026/27 season after signing a one-year contract extension in May, with 22-year-old Jonas Urbig viewed as the club captain's long-term successor.
