Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer discusses Michael Olise future
Following transfer rumours involving Michael Olise, who is reportedly the subject of interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has categorically ruled out the Frenchman's departure this summer.
Having racked up an astonishing 53 goal contributions in 52 games in 2025/26, Olise very likely tops the wishlist of several leading European clubs. While only a handful have the financial means to support such a deal, Madrid appear to be one of them, with club president Florentino Pérez reportedly preparing a record bid for the winger following his re-election.
Now, Hainer has addressed the speculation while visiting a Bayern fan club in Bavaria. "Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player with a long contract, and we are not a selling club," he said. "Should Florentino Pérez be thinking about sending us an offer - which he hasn't done so far - he should save himself the trouble."

Clear and strong words from the 71-year-old, which are in the same vein as those from the rest of the Bayern hierarchy. Before the DFB Cup final between Bayern and VfB Stuttgart, honarary president Uli Hoeneß sent a similar message to José Mourinho, the new Madrid head coach, who was in attendance at the Olympiastadion for the showpiece and is also reportedly interested in Olise. "He can watch Olise as much as he wants, he won't get him. He is not for sale," Hoeneß stated.
Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also explained Bayern's position, saying: "For a player like Olise, there is no price that would tempts us." These are words that will no doubt please the club's supporters, and the club have made it as clear as possible that Olise will be lining up for the reigning champions once more at the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
