Quarter-final elimination

Leipzig's dream of a third DFB Cup title was ended on Wednesday as they were beaten 2-0 away at Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals. Their focus now turns solely to the Bundesliga and securing a return to European football for next season.

Raum to fill

Baumgartner's eight Bundesliga goals are a new single-season personal best for the Austrian. He's Leipzig's top scorer in 2026/26, but left-back David Raum has been their most dangerous player since the turn of the year, with a goal and three assists. However, the Leipzig captain is suspended on Matchday 22 after picking up five yellow cards.

Big ask for Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg have lost all eight games this season against teams currently in the top seven. Next up are a Leipzig side unbeaten in their last 12 Sunday fixtures, winning 10.
