Almost Heidenheim!

Tim Kleindienst chests - yes chests - the ball high towards the target in an audacious attempt to put the hosts in front. Péter Gulácsi just about claws that one out!

Šeško off target

Benjamin Šeško bursts through on the right before driving his way past goalkeeper Kevin Müller. The angle is so tight that Šeško can only whip his shot wide.

Maloney woe

Bad news for Heidenheim as their influential USMNT international Lennard Maloney is forced off with what looks like a dislocated shoulder.

Leipzig lead!

Raum's centre is poorly dealt with by Benedikt Gimber and Benjamin Šeško is there to thump the ball into the ground and up into the corner of the net.

No way through

Xavi traps a through pass and looks set to get a shot away right in front of goal, but the Leipzig attacker slips at a crucial moment and Heidenheim can clear. It's been a half of very few chances at the Voith-Arena.

Henrichs booking

Henrichs brings down a flying Beste and that's a yellow card for the RBL man. Beste sends the subsequent free kick over the crossbar.

Rose's view on Heidenheim

"Heidenheim are a very awkward opponent, are enjoying a great season as a promoted side. They're a competitive team who make life tough for every opponent, often come from behind at home and even turn games around. They even come back against top teams. We've experienced it ourselves in the reverse fixture. They have the quality to win games in the Bundesliga."

Schmidt's view on Leipzig

"Leipzig are in top form. They've also won their last three away games. They're good at counter-pressing and press high. Then they transition well and have individual class, especially in attack with dangerous players like Openda, Xavi, Olmo and Šeško. We need to be ready to work hard defensively and cause problems for an opponent that's competing to be in the Champions League."

Leipzig's clear aim

For Die Roten Bullen, the goal couldn't be clearer with five games to go: securing a top-four finish. Last week's 3-0 triumph against Wolfsburg ensured Leipzig kept just ahead of Borussia Dortmund - in fifth - on goal difference.
