Jensen at the death

Amazing! The hosts look to have won it! Engels with the corner, Gouweleeuw with the touch to send the ball drifting towards the far post where Jensen prods in. The WWK Arena erupts.

Augsburg changes

Triple swap for the hosts with Jensen, Beljo and Iago coming in. Will these changes inspire a goal for the hosts? The passionate home fans here certainly hope so.

Berisha wayward

Yeboah powers through the middle and prods a pass over to Berisha who leathers a shot high over the top.

Honours even

It's been an entertaining opening 45 minutes, but we await the game's first goal at the WWK Arena.

The Augsburg No.11 wants Vogt booked so flashes an imaginary card at the ref, who books Berisha for the suggestion.

Closely contested

Kabak to the rescue

Kabak with a last-ditch challenge to deny Berisha as Augsburg look to press home their territorial advantage.

Kabak in the notebook

Kabak is booked for a sixth time this season, the visiting defender upending Demirovic.

Augsburg chance

Hoffenheim sloppy in possession and suddenly Elvis Rexhbecaj has a chance with a snap-shot. Baumann gathers that relatively easily.

Hoffenheim wasteful

Angelino sends the set-piece into the wall. Baumgartner does likewise with the follow up.

Engels booking

Engels fells Delaney right on the edge of the area and that's a booking for the Augsburg player. Hoffenheim have a big chance from the set piece now.

Baumgartner is back to his best after that earlier awkward fall. The No.14 paces through the centre and flicks a pass to his right where Kaderabek is waiting. The Czech finds Angelino who diverts off target.

Speedy Dolberg

Kasper Dolberg has just been clocked at 21.66 mph, making the Dane Hoffenheim's quickest player this season.

Baumgartner hurt

Christoph Baumgartner races all the way into the Augsburg box but is eventually forced off the ball by three Augsburg defenders. The Hoffenheim man lands very awkwardly inside the penalty area and he's going to need to step out of this one for treatment.

Bebou pulled up

Bebou thinks he's away but the Hoffenheim forward previously trod on Uduokhai on his way through and the ref pulls that one back.

TSG with a sniff

Rafal Gikiewicz gets a touch on the cross and the ball arrives at the feet of Kaderabek, who lashes the ball into the area. The pass has too much pace on it for Dolberg and the chance is suddenly gone.

Hosts in control

The men in red are edging the possession stats thus far.

TSG survive

Incredible! Augsburg sweep forward. Demirovic cuts back into the danger zone from the left, Maier brilliantly lets the ball run through his legs and it reaches Engels, who controls and wafts a deflected shot into the corner. But wait .... Engels controlled that with his hand. Goal ruled out.

Hosts start strongly

Yeboah is already menacing on his first start, with Hoffenheim giving up possession a little cheaply on the right. The visitors have begun nervously.

Watch: Previous meeting: Hoffenheim 1-0 Augsburg

Dennis Geiger scored the only goal of the game when these sides faced off on Matchday 4 back in August, helping Hoffenheim to a third straight league win. How times have changed...

Cause for optimsm

Hoffenheim have won more games against Augsburg (14) than they have against any other Bundesliga team. Furthermore, Matarazzo has won three of his four meetings with the Bavarian side as head coach.

Positive omen

Augsburg have won each of their last five Friday-night fixtures in the Bundesliga, including two this term against Werder Bremen (Matchday 6) and Bayer Leverkusen (Matchday 19).

Hoffenheim to buck the trend?

New head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo needs to find a way to boost morale among his players following an 11-game winless streak in all competitions. They have only earned two points from the last 30 available in the Bundesliga - the lowest return of all current top-flight sides.
