ALL LEVEL, BUT CHANCES FOR BOTH SIDES

Both Werner and Lewandowski had chances to win the game at the end, but in the end, things finish up all square here in Leipzig. An enthralling game in which Bayern's first half dominance forced Leipzig to come out of their shells in the second half. Bayern, as ever, stood firm and played their own way. Leipzig stay top of the table, Dortmund in second and Bayern third.

WHAT A CHANCE TO WIN IT!

Kimmich swings in a free-kick and Süle meets it at the back post. He heads the ball across goal and Gulacsi tips it with his fingers and it clips the outside of the far post and goes behind, with Lewandowski holding his head in his hands. What a chance to win the game...

NEUER SAVES FROM WERNER

The German international is played in behind the Bayern defence at an angle, but he can't beat Neuer who stays big to deny his fellow German from putting his side ahead.

MOMENT OF MAGIC FROM COUTINHO?

The Brazilian is on for the final minutes...
82'

BAYERN LOOK MOST LIKELY TO SCORE HERE

The away side are certainly doing more of the attacking work in these closing stages, but now with Cunha on, the Leipzig counter-attack has another element to it.
78'

COMAN HITS THE BAR!

Such a strange situation there as Coman ran inside from the right onto his left foot and took a shot at goal. It deflected off Nkunku and looped towards goal. Gulacsi looked worried and in the end had to make a save, tipping the ball onto his own crossbar. The ball fell to Lewandowski who looked for a teammate at the far post, but to no avail.
75'

SÜLE'S HEADER CLEARED OFF THE LINE

The ball was played across the Leipzig box to the centre-back who was up the pitch for a corner. He attempts to find a teammate in the centre with his header, but Konate was well-placed to clear the ball with his own head.
73'

CAN GO EITHER WAY HERE

Bayern have taken control of the ball again in the last 5 minutes, but Leipzig still look threatening on the counter-attack with Werner, Nkunku and Poulsen in attack. The away side happy to keep possession for themselves in recent minutes, without pushing forward too much.
68'

DAVIES LOOKING DANGEROUS

The Canadian has come on and immediately put him into the thick of this game. He's beaten Mukiele down the left on a number of occasions already, but the end product has been lacking.
66'

WERNER GOES CLOSE!

Great work from Sabitzer hands Poulsen the ball as he powers forward. He's almost brought down by Thiago but carries on and then finds Werner with the chance to shoot at goal. He powers an effort away, but drags it wide of the target.
64'

DAVIES AND TOLISSO COMBINE

Davies plays the ball across the box to Tolisso who hits it at goal from the edge of the box, but Gulacsi is positioned well to parry the ball away. Almost a goal made by the substitutes.
64'

INTERESTING BAYERN CHANGES

Kovac looking to exploit Davies' pace as he comes on to bring a new element to the Bayern attack. Tolisso comes on in place of Müller, and he looks to be playing in the same No.10 position.
60'

INCREDIBLE SHOT AND SAVE!

That was incredible stuff as Sabitzer's shot from distance swerved all sorts of ways through the air towards goal. Neuer tried to stay in control but couldn't and was, in the end, forced to save with one hand as he palmed the ball away. Amazing stuff!
59'

WONDERFUL EFFORT FROM WERNER

Leipzig pour forward on the counter with Sabitzer bringing the ball forward through the middle. He finds Mukiele on the right and his cross is a good one into the Bayern box. Werner goes for a backheel flick through his legs, but can only find the side-netting of Neuer's goal.
57'

THIS IS AN INTENSE GAME NOW

Both teams look to be in their full flow now in this second. Both going forward with every pass and play, looking to open spaces. It's going to be so interesting to see how this one plays out. Leipzig now causing more problems with direct passing and movement off the ball, which they were lacking in the first half.
52'

KONATE BLOCKS FROM COMAN ON THE LINE

Coman takes a touch and shoots across goal. Lewandowski is within inches of reaching it but can't get there as Konate is forced to clear the ball off the line. In doing so, he almost finds his own net as the ball goes across the face of goal and behind for a corner.
50'

MUKIELE HAS A GO!

Forsberg finds the wing-back overlapping and he takes a rasping strike at goal. Neuer tips the ball around the post with an outstanding save to deny him. Fantastic start to this second half from the home side, totally opposite to the first half.
49'

HALSTENBERG BLOCKED BY PAVARD

Big chance for Leipzig on the counter with a five-on-three situation. Poulsen has the ball and plays it to his left and Halstenberg, who goes for goal with his powerful left-foot, but Pavard is in the way with a superb block.
46'

BACK UNDERWAY

The second half begins with Demme on for Klostermann, with Laimer now joining Demme as a double-pivot in a more attacking move for Leipzig.

DRAMATIC END TO A DOMINANT BAYERN HALF

After enduring 45 minutes of perfect Bayern football, Leipzig took advantage of once chance at the end of the opening period to bring the game level. Hernandez's attempt to get back into the box and block the ball was met by Poulsen, and resulted in a penalty. Bayern will remain the happier of the two sides after being in control for the vast majority of that half.

LEWANDOWSKI SHOOTS...

Space opens up for the Pole, but his curling effort from the edge of the Leipzig box doesn't have the desired effect. Bayern still in full control of this game.
31'

GNABRY AGAIN!

Great work from Coman on the right as the Frenchman races to the byline before cutting the ball back into the box. Gnabry is alone with the goal gaping, but he misplaces his feet and hits the ball onto his left foot with his right.
30'

GNABRY HAS A GO...

Hold-up play from Lewandowski opens space for a pass through to Gnabry. He races at the Leipzig defence and shoots at goal from the edge, but it's a tame effort for Gulacsi to deal with.
24'

LEIPZIG FRUSTRATED

The home side are pressing high up the pitch and hard at the Bayern defence, but they are not getting away right now with Bayern unbreakable in possession. It's been a pleasure to watch so far, but Leipzig will keep pushing.
18'

BAYERN DOMINATING

The away side are enjoying 70 per cent of the ball, against RB Leipzig in their own backyard. This has been a superb display so far in the opening quarter of the game. Leipzig really struggling to hold onto the ball no matter where they have it on the pitch.
15'

SO CLOSE FROM LEWANDOWSKI

Poor from Gulacsi who attempts to play the ball out from the back on the ground. Kimmich intercepts and lofts the ball into the box with Lewandowski in space, but he can't angle his header towards goal.
13'

GULACSI SAVES FROM LEWANDOWSKI

Bayern looking supreme at the start of this game. A ball to the back post is headed into the middle by Lewandowski. The Leipzig defence can't deal with it as Gnabry is lurking, and eventually, the ball drops to Lewandowski again in the box. He curls a shot at goal, but it goes straight at Gulacsi and he's able to save.
8'

BOTH SIDES STARTING CONFIDENTLY

Bayern are controlling the ball in these early stages, but Leipzig are not looking out of place at all, despite the early goal against them. Poulsen is dropping deep and Werner drifting wide to the left to try and get on the ball, but at the moment the Bayern defence is strangling them out of the game.
4'

KLOSTERMANN SLICES WIDE

The home side immediately come forward to answer going behind as Werner slides in Klostermann down the right. He enters the box and goes for goal with a first-time strike, but sends it high and wide of the mark.
3'

WOW! WHAT A START!

A goal from nothing as Müller has the ball and holds off the challenge of Klostermann on the halfway line. He plays the ball through and Lewandowski is onside, one-on-one with Gulacsi. He takes his time and slots the ball past Gulacsi to his left. The perfect start for Bayern!

"We're getting closer to Bayern in terms of performances" and he also spoke about the difficulties of defending Robert Lewandowski, saying that you have to press him, but that he's the key to Bayern winning.

LAIMER PREFERRED TO DEMME FOR RBL

With three at the back, Konrad Laimer looks likely to partner Emil Forsberg and Marcel Sabitzer in midfield. Lukas Klostermann and Marcel Halstenberg both player for Germany during last week and start again today. Up top, as you'd expect, it's Poulsen and Werner.

COUTINHO ON THE BENCH

The Brazilian international only returned from international duty on Thursday, so he is starting this game from the bench today with Thomas Müller in his No.10 role. Otherwise, it's as you'd expect for Bayern with Joshua Kimmich continuing in midfield with Benjamin Pavard at right-back.
