A much-improved showing in the second half helps Bochum take a point in Münster. Koji Miyoshi cancelled out Imad Rondić's first-half effort, though Bochum might have got the win but for Johannes Schenk's heroics in the Preußen goal. It's now seven games without a win for Münster, who could find themselves back in the bottom three if results go against them over the weekend. Eighth-placed Bochum are now unbeaten in eight.

Fond (but distant) memories

Bochum travel to the Preußenstadion for a league match for the first time in 55 years. On their last visit in March 1971, the Ruhr district side triumphed 3-1 in the Regionalliga West, while Münster's last home victory against Bochum was a 2-0 victory in the West German Cup in October 1968.

Long time no see

The two teams are playing in the same division for the first time since the 1970/71 season, when Bochum were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in their history.

Efficient display

Münster beat Bochum 2-1 earlier this season thanks to a brace from Joshua Mees. Bochum registered 15 attempts in that match (compared to Münster's five) but still came away empty-handed.
