It's all over and Darmstadt's wait for promotion back to the Bundesliga will go on for at least another week, with Hamburg's win in Regensburg meaning they still have to sweat it out.

At least some good news for Darmstadt comes from Paderborn, who have come from 2-1 down to lead Heidenheim 3-2. That means the Lilies are back on top of the table, as things stand.

Gjasula comes on at the start of the second half, with Darmstadt keen to wrap up promotion today rather than having to wait ANOTHER week.

That 11th goal of the season for Tietz - his third in his past four games - has given the Lilies some hope going into the second half. Promotion could still be sealed today, but they need two more goals for that, assuming they do not concede more.

Not only are Darmstadt looking unlikely to celebrate promotion today, they are also set to relinquish top spot, with Heidenheim leading in Paderborn and on course to go top of Bundesliga 2 on goal difference.

Hamburg are three goals up against Regensburg, so Darmstadt almost certainly now need to score three of their own to be able to celebrate promotion this afternoon.

The news arrives that Hamburg have gone ahead in Regensburg. That means Darmstadt would not be promoted today, if the two results remain the way they are.

Hannover have had more of the ball, but it has largely been condensed to the middle third of the field. No danger of a goal coming from there, and no shots at either end yet.

Out come the teams in glorious sunshine and a temperature of 21 celsius/69 fahrenheit. And it's pretty warm off the field too, with the guest fans showing their colours, and hoping to have something to celebrate later.

Torsten Lieberknecht makes three changes to his side compared to last weekend's 3-0 defeat to St. Pauli: Holland, Honsak and Stojilkovic come in for Kempe, Schnellhardt (both on the bench) und Mehlem (suspended).

Havard Nielsen was only a substitute for Hannover's past two fixtures, having last been on the bench on Matchday 1. Today, the 29-year-old's back in the starting XI.

There is a near full squad to choose from as Stefan Leitl plots a way to become Darmstadt's party pooper. Midfielder Sebastian Kerk is the only definite absentee with an ankle injury.

The visitors are without suspended midfielder Marvin Mehlem, along with the injured pair of Frank Ronstadt and Oskar Vilhelmsson. Club top scorer Phillip Tietz will lead the line again hoping to get the job done in Hannover.

Stefan Leitl, Hannover's coach, spoke ahead of the game of this being the biggest test of their season. You might think they have little to play for in a comfortable mid-table position (ninth), but Leitl promised to do everything to ensure Darmstadt get promoted at home next week.

Darmstadt are just one win away from earning promotion to the Bundesliga. In fact they just need to match Hamburg's result at Jahn Regensburg at the same time on Sunday, and they are GOING UP!
