Full-time: Frankfurt 1-0 Mainz

Dōan's late effort earns Eintracht all three points in a hotly contested encounter at Deutsche Bank Park. After a relatively uneventful first half, the Eagles improved after the restart and finally got the goal their territorial dominance deserved when the Japan international found the bottom corner with nine minutes remaining. Toppmöller's team move up to seventh, while Mainz stay 17th.

Almost a leveller!

Out of nothing, Mainz almost restore parity as Lee tries to pounce on a loose ball inside the Eintracht area, but Theate manages to get his body in the way and snuff out the danger.

That goal was Dōan's 30th in the Bundesliga.

Deadlock broken!

Dōan has his first Bundesliga goal since Eintracht's win over Hoffenheim on Matchday 2. It's a wonderful strike too, as the Japan international wriggles his way past a couple of Mainz defenders on the edge of the box before beating Zentner with low strike into the far corner. On the balance of play, it's no less than Eintracht deserve.
