What an effort this is! Poulsen with an overhead kick that is tipped over the bar by Nübel!

Stuttgart lead!
Scenes at the Red Bull Arena. The DFB Cup finalists have taken the lead for the first time. Leipzig's defence gives it up cheaply again and Stuttgart work the ball right. Undav feeds Demirović, who has time to pick his spot and send the away fans into raptures.

VfB in charge?
The away side look that much more comfortable as the rain falls on the Red Bull Arena. Is the pressure getting to Leipzig? Demirović tries to nod the ball on for Woltemade, who can't find his feet at a crucial moment.

VfB on terms again
That good news from Mainz doesn't last long for Leipzig, who are pegged back one more time. Goals don't come more basic than this. Mittelstädt's corner finds the rising Woltemade, who angles one towards the corner. 2-2!

VfB almost bag another
Undav will be disappointed not to have scored from Woltemade's pass in front of the target. The former smashes a shot but looks on as it takes a deflection over the top.

Stuttgart on terms
A fairly straightforward goal for the visitors, with the ball reaching Mittelstädt on the left and his cross taking a subsequent deflection, sending it looping towards Undav. The Germany international has the easiest of tasks to finish from close range.

The final day
Stuttgart, who have won two on the bounce, visit a Leipzig side who can no longer qualify for the Champions League as we draw the curtains on the 2024/25 Bundesliga season. Both sides are stacked with talent, and promise to provide an entertaining encounter to bow out on; Stuttgart sit in ninth, while Leipzig sit four points above in seventh. With hopes of reaching the Europa Conference League at least, the Red Bulls will have to throw everything at Sebastian Hoeneß's side in order to secure a crucial three points.

Zsolt's balanced record
Leipzig have an even record under interim coach Zsolt Lőw - winning two matches, drawing three and losing two.
Away day specialists
Stuttgart have collected more points away this season (24) than at home (23) - and have lost just one of their last seven away trips.
Leipzig threatened with unwanted first
Every season Leipzig have ever played in the Bundesliga has ended with qualification for European football - but that run is now very much on the line.
