Bremen Beste'd

A fine win for Heidenheim, who climb up to eighth with their three-point haul. Former Bremen academy player Jan-Niklas Beste had a hand in both goals, teeing up recent USMNT cap Lennard Maloney for his first Bundesliga strike before getting his own name on the scoresheet, rendering Romano Schmid's header a consolation.

Schmidt's view on Bremen

"Bremen are unbeaten in seven games just like us. That means it'll be exciting to see who can extend their run, or whether both remain unbeaten. Bremen have been in good form for a number of weeks, especially at home. The way they counter is impressive, not just with players like Ducksch and Njinmah. They're very solid, have defended well lately and not conceded a lot. Playing at home, they're the favourites. High intensity and commitment will be needed."

Werner's view on Heidenheim

"Both teams are in good form and have their strengths. That can also be seen in the results and points. They're a team who always pose a threat, even if they weren't in the game for periods of the match. We've overwhelmingly good games here at home of late. That's also thanks to the support of the crowd."

Something in the Weser

Five of Bremen's six wins this season have come at the Weser-Stadion, where they've taken seven points from their last three matches.
