More on that Dortmund team
Three changes for Dortmund compared to the team that drew 2-2 away at Schalke last weekend. A chance for Mahmoud Dahoud in central midfield tonight - he makes his first start in seven months with Emre Can suspended and Salih Özcan ill. Marco Reus has recovered from illness so comes in for Bynoe-Gittens, while Süle slots in for Hummels in central defence.
More on that Cologne team
Steffen Baumgart is trying to freshen things in attack with Cologne without a goal in four matches. Sargis Adamyan makes his first start of 2023 and partners Selke up front. Linton Maina moves to the bench having started every match since the seventh matchday of the season, with Mathias Olesen replacing him on the right wing. Eric Martel also drops to the bench having started the 0-2 defeat to Bochum last weekend.

Terzic's words
Dortmund coach Edin Terzic cited the 3-2 defeat in Cologne earlier this season ahead of the match, saying: "We've been warned – not only by the reverse fixture but by the close matches from the past few years as well. Even though they haven't scored so often in their last matches, they're extremely dangerous."
'Bring on Borussia' beams Baumgart
The Cologne coach was in confident mood ahead of the trip to Dortmund, saying: "We're heading there to try and win. We'll attack, we'll be brave. But we've seen that, despite some good performances, we've not had the results to back that up recently. We know what is waiting for us at the weekend. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Watch: Previous meeting: Cologne 3-2 Dortmund
12th man
Dortmund are unbeaten in their last 13 competitive games on home turf (W10, D3), including nine in the Bundesliga.
Strikers in focus
Cologne's former Dortmund forward Steffen Tigges has scored more goals this season (five) than BVB's Karim Adeyemi (three), Anthony Modeste (two), Sebastien Haller (one) and Donyell Malem (one).
Points in sight?
Cologne have taken at least one point from four of their last five league meetings with Dortmund (W2, D2). The Billy Goats won 3-2 in the first half of the campaign but they have not beaten BVB twice in one season since 1988/89.
