Derby delight for Leverkusen
An incredible game finishes with the visitors taking the spoils. Leverkusen's attacking pace saw them breeze into a three-goal lead before Gladbach pegged them back right at the end.

Stindl gives hope
Could there be a remarkable comeback on? Glabach's neat passing play finally breaks through the Leverkusen defence and Wolf cuts the ball back to Stindl, who converts coolly from the edge of the box.
Herrmann swings a free-kick in
Moments after coming on, Herrmann makes a dangerous delivery from a set piece but Hradecky punches it well clear.
The boy wonder is back
Florian Wirtz is brought on as a substitute - a moment that might please Leverkusen fans as much as the scoreline, with the remarkable talent having spent ten months out injured. England's Callum Hudson-Odoi also comes on as part of a triple swap.
Leverkusen are supremely confident now and threatening to run away with this. Another quick attack causes problems and Adli has an effort deflected over by Itakura.
Super sub Amiri strikes
A wonderful combination move ends in Nadiem Amiri sweeping the ball in from the edge of the box within minutes of coming onto the field. He runs over to embrace a delighted Xabi Alonso, with Leverkusen almost certain of the points now.
Happy Hlozek replaced
The Czech youngster had a hand in both Leverkusen goals but is substituted off for Nadiem Amiri.

After a spell of Gladbach pressure, Leverkusen take the game to the hosts again, with Hlozek shooting over. It's turning into a bit of an end-to-end affair with another 30 minutes to run.
Joe Scally is one of three players Daniel Farke introduces to try to turn this around. This is the first match of the season the American hasn't started.
The hosts have their first opportunities of the half. A Bensebaini shot is deflected behind, and they go close from the resulting corner with Elvedi landing a good headed effort.
Hlozek effort deflected over
The visitors have come roaring out looking to extend their lead. Hlozek takes aim from the edge of the area, but Itakura slides in to send it behind for a corner.
Adli hits wide
The second goalscorer has the first chance of the second period, but hooks a shot well wide.

Another quick break, and its 2-0 to the visitors. Adli scores his first goal of the season, taking the ball past Elvedi to go one-on-one with Omlin and slotting past.
Frimpong scores - but it's offside
Leverkusen launch another quick attack that Gladbach just cannot get a handle on. Frimpong slots the ball in but Diaby had been offside before slotting the ball across to him.

Gladbach's new goalkeeper shows just why they signed him - rushing out to deny Frimpong when Leverkusen looked poised to score a second on the break.

Gladbach had controlled the game early on while looking a little wary of Leverkusen's pace. The away strike might force the hosts to throw more men forward.
Leverkusen draw first blood
It had been a subdued start for Xabi Alonso's side, but they pounce on a quick attack. Hlozek turned and sent a shot into the post from the edge of the box. Bakker reacted first to put the visitors into the lead.
Foals on front foot
The hosts have made the better of the opening stages. A Plea shot is turned behind for a corner and Weigl heads over from the resulting set-piece.
Another Gladbach midfielder has a pop from distance. Kone's shot is hit straight at Hradecky, however.
Weigl wants to strike
Julian Weigl is yet to find the net for Gladbach since joining on loan from Benfica. His early effort from outside the box goes well wide.
Safe feet Omlin
The Swiss goalkeeper's comfort on the ball is one reason Gladbach signed him to replace Yann Sommer. He gets a few early touches in as Gladbach circulate the ball all around the pitch and Leverkusen chase.

All the pre-match headlines had been about talented Leverkusen youngster Florian Wirtz - who has recovered from a ten-month injury nightmare. He could make his return today after being named on the bench. Jonas Omlin makes his first start in Gladbach's goal after signing from Montpellier to replace Yann Sommer.
