WATCH: FORSBERG: "I'M PROUD OF THE GUYS"
WATCH: JOVETIC: "WE SHOWED CHARACTER TO FIGHT BACK"
And that, finally, is that. A sensational game in which Leipzig bossed the first half and Hertha threatened to pull off a monumental comeback in the second. In the end, the hosts hang on for three big points. For the visitors, there will be plenty of positives to take from a stirring second 45'.
HERTHA HIT THE POST
My oh my oh my. Kanga is suddenly in on the right and he drills one at the near post. Blaswich gets something on it and the ball rattles against the upright. What a save.
Nkunku whacks a shot over the top. Is that going to be that?
Rogel is the last in a long line of Hertha players to try and stop a Schlage run. Yellow card for the Hertha man and that will eat up a few precious seconds for the hosts.
TIME ADDED ON
There will be five minutes of time added on. That news did not go down well inside the stadium, as you can imagine.
LEIPZIG EDGE CLOSER
Nkunku and Co. try to conjure something inside the Hertha box but it's just not happening for Leipzig and Hertha can clear. The home fans are on their feet roaring their team over the line here. Cracking atmosphere.
OLD LADY NOT FINISHED
Davie Selke suddenly has a great chance in front of the posts. He lashes a shot low at the target but it's too close to Blaswich, who can make the save. Lukebakio thunders an effort off target on the follow up. Phew, this is some finish to what has been an absolute belter of a second half.
NKUNKU GOAL CHALKED OFF
Nkunku had the ball in the Hertha net but after a VAR review, the goal is ruled out for offside.
Back up the other end and Ejuke is racing through on goal! He has the beating of Blaswich, but not Kampl, who hacks off the line.
LUKEBAKIO TO THE RESCUE
Amazing, just amazing. Szoboszlai frees Nkunku, who digs the ball out of his feet, rounds the Hertha keeper and dinks the ball at goal. From somewhere, who knows where, Lukebakio slides in and sticks out a leg to divert the ball wide. Nkunku and the fans behind the goal were celebrating.
NOVOA NO GO
Novoa looks to curl a pass in for Nkunku. He misses his man completely and was in an offside position anyway. Hertha escape.
No goal for Silva on his 100th Bundesliga appearance, then. He and Forsberg are off, both having put in a real shift here and the latter scoring the game's opening goal. Chance for Novoa and Poulsen to put an end to this Hertha revival.
Here come Hertha again. Mittelstädt whips in an inviting cross to the far post. Blaswich tries and fails to get a fist on it and Jovetic is there. The Montenegrin can only head awkwardly downwards and wide, however.
The scenes here in Leipzig. Marco Rose is throwing his arms up repeatedly as he tries to get a lift from his side. His friend on the touchline, Sandro Schwarz, is calling for calm heads among his players.
HERTHA HAVE HOPE
Kampl chops down Kenny and Hertha have a free kick in an interesting position. The ball is sent into the box but headed out by Orban. It drops for Jovetic who slams home for 3-2! Hello! Game definitely on at the Red Bull Arena.
Calm as you like. Lukebakio rolls the ball into the net and Hertha are back in this.
LEIPZIG'S TRIPLE SWAP
Interesting moment for a Leipzig triple change with Hertha placing the ball on the penalty spot ....
PENALTY HERTHA !
Kenny's ball into the box is handled by Diallo in the box and Hertha have a lifeline.
Oooh, now THAT was close to a Hertha goal. Lukebakio's inswinging corner is met by Kanga but the header takes a touch and drops just wide of the target.
HERTHA CHANCE WASTED
Raum shoves Lukebakio to the floor and Hertha have a free kick wide on the right. Lukebakio whips in the set piece but the ball flies over everyone and away from danger.
SILVA OFF TARGET
Silva prods an effort towards the far post but he's skewed that slightly and the ball drifts wide. The Portuguese forward will want to get on the scoresheet here on what is his 100th Bundesliga appearance.
Jovetic tries to conjure something on the edge of the Leipzig area but his pass over the top for Richter has too much on it and Leipzig get the goal kick.
OFF WE GO (AGAIN)
Leipzig get the ball rolling on the second half. What chance a Hertha comeback here? Or will it be more a case of the hosts adding a few more? We're about to find out.
Well, what to say about that? Hertha defended pretty resolutely for large parts of the first half. When they finally went behind to Forsberg's opener, the wheels fell off. The hosts subsequently added a couple more and this game looks done and dusted at the break.
Richter denies Forsberg inside the Hertha box. Simakan then wins a free kick out on the right. Raum takes but Hertha manage to clear. The ball is sent back into the area. Silva controls and slices a finish towards the far post. The ball strikes the upright and Orban taps in the rebound. Leipzig are cruising.
SZOBOSZLAI: ASSIST KING
Haidara goes in dangerously on Tousart and that's a booking for the Leipzig man.
David Raum Dodi Lukébakio
JOVETIC TRIES THE SPECTACULAR
Jovetic tries to lift visiting spirits with an acrobatic attempt from distance, which flies way off target.
RBL DOUBLE UP
A bit nervy now from the visitors. Szoboszlai's pass into the mixer is hooked over his own bar by Rogel. From the resulting Raum corner, Diallo's header takes a slight deflection of Raum before bouncing up into the net.
And there is the opener. A roar of relief from the home fans, who have been watching their side probe and probe in the opening 25 minutes. Hertha lose possession in midfield and the ball is scooped forward for Szoboszlai, who scampers ahead before crossing perfectly to Forsberg. The Swede connects with a knee to angle home from point-blank range.
A Leipzig attack looks like it might be pulled back for a possible foul in the build-up. The referee waves play on and Nkunku suddenly has a chance to shoot from the left, which he does. Christensen stretches out a leg and blocks.
NO WAY THROUGH
Raum sends in a corner from the left but it leads to nothing and the Berliners can clear. Leipzig need a spark from somewhere.
HERTHA'S SORE MEMORIES
Andre Silva with an effort that is barely worth noting and we've reached the quarter hour mark without a major incident.
IN HERTHA'S DEFENCE
Hertha are pretty compact here, which is frustrating the hosts, who are being forced wide. Plenty of discipline from the visitors thus far.
A little too much enthusiasm from Mohamed Simakan, who sends two Hertha players flying. A small warning from the ref for Leizpig's No.2.
It's all a little bit niggly here as both sides look to impose themselves on the game. Xaver Schlager and David Raum combine to down Dodi Lukebakio and Hertha have a free kick.
Szoboszlai sticks his head in to challenge where he probably shouldn't have and the Hungarian comes away from that with a nasty knock to his head after connecting with Marvin Plattenhardt, who was unaware of the presence of the Leipzig man.
RICHTER HAS A POP
Marco Richter swings at the ball, which goes flying towards the target. It's at a decent height and pace for Janis Blaswich, who decides to fist over just in case. The subsequent corner comes to nothing.
GAME ON !
Hertha kick off and the Matchday 10 battle commences.
TEAMS OUT !
Both sides make their way onto the pitch to huge roars. Best mates Rose and Schwarz greet and we're all set.
RED BULL ARENA ROCKING
We have a super atmosphere in Saxony with the home crowd joined by a little over 1,5000 visiting fans from the capital. We're not long away from kick off now. What are your match predictions?

As the Hertha team tweet says, Marco Richter makes his first start of the current season. That is the only change Sandro Schwarz makes compared to the previous week, with Chidera Ejuke, who had previously been on the left of the attack, making way. Richter has made six substitute appearances this season, scoring twice.
TWO CHANGES FOR ROSE
Marco Rose changes his team in 2 positions after the Champions League win in Glasgow. Abdou Diallo is back in central defence for Josko Gvardiol and Emil Forsberg comes in for Timo Werner, who is absent today due to illness - the latter is good news for Hertha at least, as Werner scored 8 times in his last 8 games against the Berliners.
HERTHA'S POSITIVE OUTLOOK
LEIPZIG IN GOOD SPIRITS
SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!
Only four points separate Leipzig and Hertha in lower mid-table. It's unfamiliar territory for DFB Cup holders and UEFA Champions League representatives Die Roten Bullen, while the Old Lady are enjoying a five-match unbeaten run. Stay tuned!
