POLTER FIRES WIDE!

The substitute is played in on goal but can't race away from Klostermann. Polter does well though to dribble past him and earn space for a shot, but he drags his effort wide across goal.

BOCHUM DEBUT

Osterhage - signed at the end of the window from Dortmund's second team - is on here for his Bundesliga debut.

IT'S NKUNKU'S NIGHT AGAIN!

The Frenchman now has nine goals in 10 games in all competitions this season, with four already in the Bundesliga.
80'

MORIBA DEBUT!

The young midfielder from Barcelona is on for his Bundesliga debut replacing Kampl, while Laimer is on for Simakan as well.
78'

NKUNKU IS UNSTOPPABLE!

The Frenchman does it again here with another outstanding lobbed finish to make it two again for him. His second straight Bundesliga game with a brace. It's a lovely ball over the top from Gvardiol which he reaches ahead of Riemann and lobs the ball over him towards goal. It bounces and Bella-Kotchap goes for the clearance, but the ball is over the line before he can get it away.

BOCHUM CHANGE

Polter is on to help the Bochum attack, replacing Holtmann.

NKUNKU MAKES IT TWO!

Silva turns from scorer to provider for Leipzig as he sets up Nkunku to make it two. It's fine play from Silva, who collects possession and turns to spot Nkunku's run in behind. It's an inch-perfect pass, and Nknuku latches onto it to dink over Riemann and score his 7th goal in his last five games. What a season he is having!

THE SUBSTITUTES COMBINE!

A masterstroke from Marsch as the substitutes combine less than a minute after coming on! Szobsozlai swings in the corner from the left and Silva is all alone in front of goal to head in, despite Riemann doing his best to keep it out on the line. That's his first Bundesliga goal for Leipzig from open play!

CHANGES INCOMING...

Silva and Szoboszlai are ready on the sidelines for the home side...
63'

GETTING FORWARD WELL

Bockhorn is being more adventurous in this second half and getting up the right flank, causing problems for Haidara and Gvardiol in having to track him back. Bochum making life very difficult for Leipzig.
61'

FIRST CHANGE

Mukiele is on for Angelino here as Leipzig make a tactical tweak.

ANGELINO BOOKED

The Spaniard is the first player to be cautioned this evening by Hartmann, after a foul on Bockhorn.

LEIPZIG FRUSTRATED

The home side have had 10 shots on goal to Bochum's three so far, but none since the 32nd minute.
50'

SLOW START SO FAR

The home side haven't clicked into gear here so far in the second half, with Bochum once again pressing high and finding their way forward with long balls.
46'

KNOCK FOR GVARDIOL

A knock to the face for the Leipzig defender from Asano, but he should be fine to continue here.
46'

BACK UNDERWAY!

The second half is underway in Leipzig with no changes for either side here at the Red Bull Arena.

ADDED TIME

We'll have two minutes of time added on at the end of this game.

ALMOST FOR NKUNKU!

A fantastic long ball from Gvardiol is brought down by Nkunku behind the Bochum defence, but Riemann is off his line already and snatches the ball up ahead of the Nkunku before he can get his second touch on the ball. Good play all-round, there!
40'

CHANCES GOING BEGGING

Nkunku is sent in behind and turns well past Masovic before looking up for support. His attempted pass to Angelino is cut-out, though, with Leipzig doing everything right so far up until the final pass or shot.
37'

LOSILLA HAS A GO!

A good chance for the visitors as Losilla exchanges passes in the middle to be sent into the Leipzig area by Rexhbecaj, but he curls his effort wide across goal with Leipzig's defence slow to react.
34'

POULSEN TRYING HIS BEST

The Leipzig striker has had five shots on goal himself so far, but Leipzig can't beat Riemann in the Bochum goal.

LEIPZIG SHOULD BE AHEAD!

Incredible stuff here. It's a fantastic quick free-kick from Kampl to send Nkunku clean through on goal. He and Poulsen are in behind and it looks like a simple task to play it across for his teammate to finish, but Nkunku goes for goal himself only to see his shot saved by Riemann. Head in hands moment for the Frenchman!
28'

POULSEN HEADS WIDE!

Angelino does well to work his way down the left and find a good cross into the middle. It beats Soares and Poulsen meets it with a free-header at the back post, but he pushes it wide of goal and is not at all happy with himself after that one.
26'

SIMAKAN DOMINANTING

It will be a difficult evening for Bochum's forwards with Simakan in this form. His 7 are just ahead of Klostermann and Gvardiol's five duels won in the Leipzig defence.

LOOKING COMFORTABLE

It's been a good few minutes here for the away side who are enjoying possession and getting forward well. Leipzig are finding it difficult to play out from the back due to the Bochum press.
22'

ASANO UP AGAINST IT

The Bochum lone-man in attack is being supported from Holtmann and Antwi-Adjei in wide positions, but is up against three centre-backs today in the Leipzig defence. It could be a difficult afternoon for him.

NKUNKU GETTING TO WORK

He was the star of the show in the win against Hertha last weekend, and is getting involved early on here.
16'

BIG CHANCE FOR POULSEN!

Lovely stuff from Nkunku who lofts the ball over the Bochum defence to meet Poulsen's run in behind. He controls and fires on target with his left, but the outstretched left leg of Riemann denies him with a fine save.

FIRST GO AT GOAL!

We've seen plenty of attempts at the other end, but Bochum have their first shot on target of the day here. Rexhbecaj picks up possession in space in the middle but his left-footed strike is no major test for Gulacsi.
11'

FORSBERG OFF THE BAR!

Fantastic break from Leipzig as Poulsen does well to beat Bella-Kotchap and get away from his marker. He plays the ball inside to Forsberg, who moves past one defender onto his right foot to shoot from just inside the area, but his effort clips the top off the crossbar on its way over. Leipzig flying so far!
9'

FORSBERG SHOT SAVED!

He missed a chance to take a penalty, but is played in behind here down the right side of the Bochum area and fires a powerful shot at the near post. Riemann is in position to parry this one away.
6'

NO PENALTY

Hartmann overturns his decision with no foul on Poulsen from Bockhorn.

VAR CHECK

LEIPZIG PENALTY!

Poulsen is brought down in the Bochum area by Bockhorn and the home side have an early penalty, given by Robert Hartmann.

GVARDIOL ON TARGET

A little training ground free-kick routine as Forsberg and Angelino dummy taking the free-kick twice apiece before the Spaniard eventually curls a ball into the Bochum area. Gvardiol meets it in front of goal with his head, but his effort is straight at Riemann.

WATCH: NOT LONG TO GO!

Both sides are out getting warm in Leipzig with 15 minutes to go until kick-off...

WHAT IT ALL MEANS

After the results already during this weekend's action, Leipzig know a win will take them into the top seven of the table. Bochum, meanwhile, could move six points clear of fellow promoted side Bochum at the bottom if they can earn a shock result here.

WATCH: NKUNKU - LEIPZIG'S NEW STAR SHOWMAN

Jesse Marsch told Nkunku that he may be the player to benefit most from the way he wants his team to play. A short way into the 2020/21 season, and the Frenchman is proving his coach to be right in every way.

LEIPZIG LOOKING TO KICK ON

Seven points from six games represents Leipzig's worst-ever start to a Bundesliga season, but Jesse Marsch's side ran out big 6-0 winners over Hertha Berlin last weekend, of course.

BOCHUM'S ZOLLER-LESS STRUGGLES

Zoller has been directly involved in all four of Bochum's Bundesliga goals, scoring and assisting two between Matchdays 2-4. The Ruhr club haven't scored in his absence since he tore his cruciate ligament in training.

WATCH: HOME SWEET HOME

The Leipzig lads take in the surroundings at the Red Bull Arena this afternoon...

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Adams, Gvardiol and Angelino come back in, having impressed on the left-hand side in Leipzig's crushing 6-0 win over Hertha Berlin last weekend. Silva is on the bench with Poulsen starting up front for his 300th Leipzig game. Olmo remains on the sidelines. Happily for Marsch - who is chasing only his second win as a Bundesliga head coach - Nkunku is in the form of his life. The former PSG midfielder has produced seven goals and three assists in nine competitive appearances so far this season.

BOCHUM TEAM NEWS

Head coach Thomas Reis isn't exactly blessed in the personnel department, especially with talismanic striker Zoller out for the foreseeable future. Asano is a boost as he returns to lead a three-man attack today, however.

WATCH: LEIPZIG 6-0 HERTHA

Sit back and enjoy the highlights as Leipzig scored six without reply at home to Hertha last week.

REIS: “WE WANT TO CREATE CHANCES”

“Leipzig are sensational in transition,” warned Bochum head coach Thomas Reis at his pre-match media briefing. “They brutally exploit their opponents’ mistakes in the centre. They have shown how dangerous they are when you let them get into their game. They proved that impressively against Hertha. They are also very good at counter-pressing, but that also opens spaces at the back. We want to create chances. We know that we must deal with a very high individual quality, but we shouldn’t give away the points. We must do everything we can, everything has to fall into place: We want to annoy our opponents.”

MARSCH: “BOCHUM ARE BETTER THAN THEIR RESULTS IMPLY”

“VfL Bochum have played better than their results imply so far this season,” said Leipzig head coach Jesse Marsch in his pre-match press conference. “Against an in-form VfL Wolfsburg [last week], they played with a man less for a long period but only narrowly lost. They know how to defend with intensity and can press well. They often stick tight to their opposition and can transition quickly. They are ready to battle for 90 minutes. They also pose a certain threat at set pieces.”

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This will be the first Bundesliga meeting between these teams, although they have faced each other five times previously. Leipzig won all four matches in Bundesliga 2 between 2014 and 2016, while they also earned a 4-0 victory in the Round of 16 in the DFB Cup in February this year.

WATCH: SATURDAY EVENING SHOWDOWN

THE STAKES - BOCHUM

The promoted side have struggled so far in the top flight and have won just once, on Matchday 2 against Mainz. They've only drawn one though, losing four times - including all three away games - to sit second bottom of the standings. With Leipzig not yet hitting their stride either this term, this game could be a great opportunity to kick-start their campaign with a confidence-boosting result.

THE STAKES - LEIPZIG

Leipzig are currently in mid-table on seven points, nine behind leaders Bayern Munich. After a hot-and-cold start to the season, Jesse Marsch's men looked to have got their frustration out of their system with a 6-0 thrashing of Hertha last week, but they then slipped to defeat - despite taking the lead - in the Champions League against Club Brugge on Tuesday. They need another victory here if the're to avoid losing further ground at the top.
