For the first time in Bundesliga history, a team has scored more than seven goals in the opening game of a season. What a team we're seeing here in Munich.
WHAT A MOMENT FOR MUSIALA
The half-German, half-English midfielder has scored his first goal for the Bayern senior squad. He skips inside from the left wing past Becker before slotting the ball home past Fährmann. At just 17, that's a magical moment for the teenager and in doing so he has become the club's youngest-ever Bundesliga scorer.
INTO THE FINAL 10!
Bayern have seven so far, will they leave the Allianz Arena with more goals to go with their three points?
SANE HAS A GOAL ON DEBUT!
The new man is in on the act as he latches onto Kimmich's superb through ball from his own half. He races away on goal and slots the ball home past Fährmann with ease. That's his final touch of the game as he is substituted, alongside Boateng and Gnabry.
MÜLLER ADDS THE SIXTH!
Bayern cut through the Schalke defence once again with Lewandowski blocked by Kabak. He regains possession and may have produced the assist of the season already as he curls a rabona-cross to the middle of the goal where Müller is waiting to slot the ball under Fährmann.
BAYERN'S INCREDIBLE RUN
With the score as it is, Bayern are set to extend their unbeaten run to 31 games in all competitions, winning 22 matches in a row during that time as well. An outstanding run which Flick and his squad will have no intentions of letting run out.
TOLISSO HEADS OVER
The Frenchman meets Kimmich's corner, but can't keep his header on target. Bayern's 18th attempt of the game, of which nine have been on target and the same number missing it.

ALMOST SIX FOR BAYERN!
The home side come so close to another as Sane's cross is gathered by Gnabry at the far post, and he plays Tolisso the ball to fire at goal with his left foot. Fährmann makes a good save to deny the second-half substitute.
HAT-TRICK FOR BAYERN!
Sane is sent in behind the Schalke defence with another long ball. He controls with his chest before touching the ball across for Gnabry with Lewandowski also waiting, but the man with two goals already to his name tonight makes it three and Bayern have five!
BAYERN'S MOOD SO FAR
BRIGHT MOVE FROM SCHALKE
Paciencia finds Uth on the left side of Schalke's and he fires the ball across the face of goal with Matondo lurking. Süle is able to clear behind though for Schalke's second corner of the game.
GNABRY'S FIRST ALLIANZ BRACE
The Bayern No.7 has now scored six braces in the Bundesliga, three of which have come for Bayern and this being the first in the Allianz Arena.
Sane set the highest speed for a Bayern player so far this evening in the build-up to Gnabry's second goal. Meanwhile, Matondo has the highest speed for Schalke.

GNABBERS HAS A BRACE!
What a counter-attack from Bayern as a long ball is nodded down by Lewandowski to Müller and he sends Sane away. He beats one man to the ball, then another before pushing the ball past Fährmann for Gnabry to run onto in space and slot home with his left. A brace completed for Gnabry, and Sane has his first assist for Bayern.
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY!
No changes for either side heading into the second half as we get things back underway. Do Schalke have an answer, or are Bayern heading for three points to start the season?
STORY OF THE HALF

We're now into just one minute of first half injury time.
GNABRY FIRES WIDE
Bayern win the ball in midfield and break forward quickly with a swift transition. Gnabry is found in space on the left side of the Schalke box and he fires a low shot at goal, this time dragging his effort agonisingly wide.

NO MOMENT TO CATCH YOUR BREATH!
The Schalke defence is under siege here in Munich. Bayern are showing no mercy as they continuously pour men forward. A few half chances have come the Royal Blues' way with counter-attacks - mainly lead by Harit - but the home side's defence has quickly snuffed them out so far.
It's now 10 games in a row with goals against Schalke now for Lewandowski, as well as being his seventh goal in the opening match of a season, matching the record of Klaus Fischer. His 237th Bundesliga goal all told, sitting third all-time.
LEWY OFF THE MARK!
Last season's top scorer is off the mark on the opening day and has broken records galore in the process. He sends Fährmann the wrong way with his trademark penalty, watching the goalkeeper until the very last season and shooting while doing so.
Kabak is booked after he brings down Lewandowski in the box.
The Germany international midfielder is currently off the pitch receiving treatment to his thigh. We'll have to wait and see if he can continue.
The home side have had eight total attempts on goal, with four of those on target. Schalke had the first of the game through Paciencia, but have failed to force Neuer into action since then.
BAYERN SHOWING NO MERCY
Attempts on goal
CLOSE TO A THIRD!
Bayern are unplayable at the moment as Goretzka fires a crossfield pass to Gnabry, who perfectly meets it on the bounce into the box near the touchline. He looks up to spot fellow former VfB Stuttgart youth product Kimmich in space and he hits a powerful shot at goal. Fährmann gets the better of it this time.
SANE AND LEWY COMBINE
Another outstanding long ball from Kimmich sends Sane away. He controls on his chest and fires the ball across the box to Lewandowski who fires it high over the Schalke crossbar on his left foot. An unorthodox finish from the Pole, to say the least.
GORETZKA MAKES IT TWO!
Too simple for the defending champions as Lewandowski finds possession in the box after a cut-back from the right flank. He has Sane in space behind him, but opts to lay the ball off to Goretzka on the edge of the box. The former Royal Blue cooly slots the ball into the left bottom corner.
Over 100 passes completed so far with a 90 percent rate of completion. Bayern finding their way against despite just one week of pre-season.
ALMOST AN OWN-GOAL
Rudy's free-kick swings to the back of the Bayern box where Süle is waiting to clear. He gets caught in two minds of whether to clear himself or play back to Neuer and in the end sees the ball bounce off his leg awkwardly before dribbling into Neuer's grateful hands.
STORY SO FAR
Bayern finding more and more space when they move the ball forward, but no major chances beyond that of Lewandowski to speak about since Gnabry's opener. Schalke have had just 36 percent of possession but have also looked dangerous in attack. For them, the task is going to be in keeping the ball for longer periods.

FORMATION FOR SCHALKE
Wagner's side are playing more of a 4-1-4-1 this evening, with Paciencia leading the line. Nabil Bentaleb is the deepest midfield player, with Mark Uth working through the middle and Amine Harit out on the left wing.
Sane is sent in behind the Schalke defence but can't quite get around Fährmann in the Schalke box. The new No.10 turns back to find Lewandowski in front of goal, but his shot is blocked behind by Rudy.
GNABRY HAS THE FIRST OF THE SEASON!
A superb long ball from Kimmich deep in midfield lands perfectly on Gnabry's right foot. He turns and moves into space past Stambouli to shoot at goal with his left, and fires the ball beyond Fährmann. The perfect start to their title defence with Bayern's new No.7 off the mark.
Great start from Schalke as Harit scoops the ball to Paciencia on the left corner of Bayern's box. He works space for a shot well with defenders around him and it stings the palms of Manuel Neuer in the Bayern goal before the ball deflects back out off a Schalke man.
Bayern in red, Schalke in blue. The 2020/21 season is off and running.
HERE WE GO!
The players are out on the pitch, sadly there are still no fans in the stands but we know you're watching at home. After hearing the German national anthem we will get the new season underway. IT. IS. TIME.
TALE OF THE TAPE
This will be the 101st Bundesliga meeting between Bayern and Schalke. The defending champions have won 54 of those; Schalke 18, with 28 draws.
LEON GORETZKA LOOKS READY
The former Schalke midfielder is looking in good form ahead of kick-off, less than 10 minutes away now!
BAYERN READY TO GO!
The warm-ups are coming towards an end in Munich with only 15 minutes to go until kick-off. Can you spot your favourite player?
LEWANDOWSKI AND ALL HIS TOYS
Bayern's recently crowned Player of the Year can put that trophy on his mantlepiece, alongside his Bundesliga, DFB Cup and UEFA Champions League medals from 2019/20. But the 32-year-old will only want more heading into the new campaign. Lewandowski scored four of his 34 Bundesliga goals last season against Schalke, including a hat-trick on Matchday 2 - how will he get on tonight?
Schalke fans will see their new striker in action tonight for the first time, and Goncalo Paciencia is already going through his paces at the Allianz Arena. He has faced Bayern Munich only once so far, and scored in Frankfurt's 5-1 drubbing of the champions early last season.
WATCH OUT FOR LEWANDOWSKI
As if Schalke needed any more warning. The star of Bayern's treble win, Lewandowski has scored in the opening match of a Bundesliga season six times, only Klaus Fischer has done it more often (7). Meanwhile, the Poland international has scored in nine consecutive games against Schalke. Only Klaus Fischer, who scored in nine games in a row against VfB Sttutgart between 1969 and 1974, has managed the same against a single team.
KIMMICH TO BREAK A RECORD?
He has a new number and an incentive to kick-start the season in style. A victory tonight will extend Joshua Kimmich's winning streak over Schalke to 10 games. The only players to have gone 10 games without dropping a point against a single team in Bundesliga history are Kimmich himself against Werder Bremen, Frank Baumann against Nuremberg and Jürgen Sobieray versus Fortuna Düsseldorf.
HERE WE GO!
The sprinklers are on and both teams have arrived at the Allianz Arena. Warm-ups will be starting shortly as we get ready and raring to go for the first game of the new season.
