The Sparrows must do without their captain Reichert; Kolbe takes his place in the starting line-up against Hertha for the first time since Matchday 26. This is particularly noteworthy because the Berlin club were interested in the centre-back in the winter transfer window, and Kolbe has reportedly agreed terms with Hertha.

Maza had been the only Berlin player to start every match this season, but today the playmaker is suspended due to yellow card accumulation. Kenny and Cuisance return from their yellow card suspensions, however, replacing Maza and Winkler in the starting line-up.

It's been a while...
The last encounter in Ulm took place almost exactly 25 years ago in the Bundesliga. On 22 April 2000, Marko Rehmer scored the golden goal from Pal Dardai's assist.
Draw guaranteed?
The two second division encounters at the Donaustadion ended in draws (most recently 0-0 in 1984, before that 2-2), and in the first game of the current season, the Sparrows fought back from being behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw in Berlin.
When the Sparrows celebrated
Ulm's only competitive victory against the Old Lady was a cup upset. In December 1981, the Sparrows, as a third-tier club, won 2-1 at second-tier Hertha in the Olympic Stadium in front of fewer than 2,000 spectators.
Perfect Record
Hertha BSC have never lost against SSV Ulm either in the Bundesliga (two wins) or in the Bundesliga 2 (two wins, three draws).
